Worked it out, by creating my own countdown clock and placing in the main footer.

Hi Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place, if not I do apologise in advance. I have the countdown clock up and running, thank you Wormopolis for the plugin. Took me a little while to figure it out, but got there in the end, lol. I wanted to know is there a way to make it so the clock doesn't appear on custom pages? I'm not sure what to do here or what is needed. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks, Trix...x

Wormopolis
You have created a GREAT plugin!!! It was so simple for me to add your code in a thread and have it function properly.
I next wished to also have the countdown appear on the Home page of my Forum. I’m trying to have it appear just below the banner. I can only get the countdown to appear below the Shoutbox.
I’ve read and reread all of the pages here and I need some help because I can’t find the answer.
Here is what I have ended up doing after trying many other things.
I go to Structure > Headers & Footers > Main Header & Footer where in the Header I place the code.
Thanking you in advance for your help,
Jamie McGuffin

I might need a site URL in order to see what you mean. Im guessing you have some sort of custom layout thing going on because a normal forum has the shoutbox at the bottom.

Hello Wormopolis, Thank you for getting back to me. Here is the link to my Forum: jamie-macguffin.freeforums.net/ It is for members only. As far as I know, I have not made any changes to create a custom forum layout. The shoutbox is at the bottom of my forum. I have used the default location for the shoutbox. I used this code in the thread shown below. [countdown:Yellow Submarine YouTube Dress-Up Sing-A-Long Watch Party!=April 25 2020 12:00 PM]Come Aboard then[/countdown] That worked flawlessly and this was the result. I used this code in the Main Header: <countdown class="countdown" title="<center>Yellow Submarine YouTube Dress-Up Sing-A-Long Watch Party!<center>" timestamp="April 25 2020 12:00 PM" message=”Come Aboard then" href="https://jamie-macguffin.freeforums.net/thread/541/aboard-yellow-submarine-youtube-sing"/> The countdown appears below the shoutbox. I would like the countdown to appear at the top of the forum. Between the News Feed and the first Category (Welcome in this case). This is my problem. I don't know how to accomplish this. Thank you for your help. P.S. I have removed the code from the Main Header to restore the forum to its original condition.

I cant see the forum anyways as a guest so I cant see the coding anyways. You sure you also dont somehow have the countdown code in the footer as well?

nevermind I know what it is. It doesnt like the single element style anymore. use this:
<countdown class="countdown" title="<center>Yellow Submarine YouTube Dress-Up Sing-A-Long Watch Party!<center>" timestamp="April 25 2020 12:00 PM" message="Come Aboard then" href="https://jamie-macguffin.freeforums.net/thread/541/aboard-yellow-submarine-youtube-sing"></countdown>

Awesome!!! That fixed the position. Thank you very much!!!!!!! I assume that the addition of “</countdown>” to the end of the code should also be used in the footer. Again, thank you for a great plugin and your support.

anywhere you use the html version, use the closing tag method. It didnt use to matter but I guess something changed.
