Im not even seeing custom fields show up on the page before the plugin runs at all.
disable the plugin and check your profile again. do you see custom fields?

They don't show up without the plugin either? When I change the custom fields to display on the Mini profile AND Profiles, they show up in the Mini Profile, just not on the regular Profile... I guess this isn't a plugin issue then...?

well if the plugin is disabled then unless you have some other plugin removing them for some reason, this sounds like someone in support is going to have to look into why your profiles arent showing it.
unless you made a change to your templates that would cause it?

We got it to work on one site and not the other, same exact everything just to double check it. So maybe I'll have her try asking someone in support then.
I appreciate your time! And thank you so much for helping us out, sorry about all of this...

I bet its in your templates. something isnt closed correctly or something. You can try copying the profile template from the working site to the non unless you need them to be different for a reason.

Wormopolis, excellent job with this plugin; it comes in very handy. I do, however, have a question I hope you can help me out with. I am a mild programmer and understand the gist of IF statements but I was wondering if you could explain the context as they apply to your plugin. I use the following example to post my question. With and without the IF statement I am still able to pull the custom profile field (CPF) data without oddity or error. {if $[field_spelllist]} magic spells: $[field_spelllist]<br> {/if} magic spells: test1, test2, test3 vs. magic spells: $[field_spelllist] magic spells: test1, test2, test3I tested this with each of the CPF " Type" options and the applicable ones returned multiple results as intended with and with the IF statement. Thank you very much and again I love this plugin! Andrew EDITEDI think I'm moreover looking to do a "not equal to", "is null", or an "else/if" statement if the user has not populated input whilst knowing that PB will not natively display a CPF if the user hasn't inserted info. However, with some programming magic it's possible to tweak the end-result query or plugin. I tried the following 2 options and know that the first one is self-defeating and the second didn't yield a value. {if !$[field_test]} nothing! {/if} {if $[field_test] == ""} nothing! {else} $[field_test] {/if} I was distracted by getting profile comments to work right. as soon as I get them working, I will come back to this

Vu1canF0rcev1.1.1 submitted to library with support for {else} statements I assume (and hope) the PB staff are honoring 9/11 as I haven't seen 1.1.1 hit the library yet. I'll check again tomorrow or Friday.

I'm not understanding how this plug in works exactly. Based on the preview given here I'm understanding that this plugin gives you extra fields to add in new bits of information to a profile, which is then displayed in the new tab created? If so, where in the "edit profile" section would these fields be to input the new personalized information? Because I'm not seeing it anywhere when I try the plugin, unless I'm missing a step in which I have to manually create these new fields that will then show up in the edit profile section? Hopefully someone has an answer, because I'm completely lost. Here's the test site I'm currently running it on: Click MeAs you can see, I do have a box with some personalized fields, but I can't find anywhere to actually input the information in order for it to show up in its respective line.

not quite. it just relocates the custom profile fields that you have already added and show them differently on the profile view in a new tab.
how it displays on the new tab is up to how you edit the box

what is it you were looking to do? custom profile fields are a free storage tool that proboards already gives you. a plugin would require more keys space on top of that.

Like Mistuh M, I planned on having an extra custom tab similar to your example given as a character profile. However, with the character limit of custom fields I noticed that no app will truly fit there with all the coding needed. Would this mean needing to translate the application into the custom tab display itself, then have the fields be specific inputs for the application? [IE Name, age, gender, history, etc?]
