The more fields you have, the more space you get essentially. So I suggest making every section of the application its own field

because then you can also place that field in its own spot on the output section.

So, I'm fairly new at HTML and am also fairly bad at it. I am good, however, at looking at examples and using them to learn. Is it possible I could see an example custom profile tab and then see the coding associated with it?

Anyone using this plugin can probably give you an exciting example. Otherwise give me a day to put a small example out. It's just like what you do in the template editor if you want to go that route. Otherwise it will just list them one by one on a new page on the profile view.

Okay, so I figured out a great deal. But then I tried to do colored tables (border and bg) but it's not working. I tried using hex codes and the color name itself eg. "RED".

Thanks for the nice plugin, Wormopolis!
I am very new to all of this. I notice that in your example there is an enlarged view of the Avatar. Would you please tell me how you do that and is there a way for users to insert other images into any of these new fields in their profiles? Thank you.

example? I am not sure which example you are looking at with an enlarged avatar.
This plugin doesnt do anything more special then create a new tab and move custom profile field data to it.

On the plugin download page, there is an image that shows a tab called, "Biography". There are two sizes of avatar in that tab. The general profile one at the top and a second larger one inserted in the actual field area of the tab. I know how to enter text into a custom field, but how are images inserted into that area? Perhaps my question is not technically directly related to your plugin, but I can see that you are able to insert the images and I did not know who else to ask.

I see what you are talking about now. someone else actually made that using the code, I just used it as an example of what could be done. I will bring them into the discussion Mercy

gtv22, It's actually not the avatar, but a different image. They look the same, but they're actually different shapes and sizes. In the Custom Profile Fields section, just create a regular text field. All the user has to do is paste their image url into the field you created when editing their info. Then, in the plugin, you'll enter something like this to display the image: <img src="$[field_fieldname]" /> You can also use the image for a background image, depending on what you want everything to look like.
