So what changed?

I cleared the key that was on that post so I could vote again. you had it set to 1 vote only so it wouldnt let me vote to push data.

also, the new critique version lets you change the checkboxes to radio buttons so that they can only choose ONE of the options. if you have it at check boxes, they can choose multiple. this allows to have multiple critiques on a post of a different nature, as well as a general "quality" type critique where they can only choose 1 of the options.

you can also have multiple critiques on the same boards. so you could have 1 critique group with options like "check spelling","check grammar","needs better ending","more action",etc... as well as a second critique group rating the post overall like "poor","fair","excellent",etc...


what changed was the checkboxes allowed for multiple posts, but the original version only looked at the last checkbox checked and set that to the companion.  I had to rewrite companion to accept multiple choices and apply them to the counts.

however, 1.0.1 I forgot to update the piece of code that sets up a NEW group in the key if it wasnt already there WITH the fix for multiple choice.  the data parameter changed to the function, and I only fixed part of the function in 1.0.1

The rest of the permissions are fine at Members & Staff. Normally I have it set to only allow one choice to be selected per person - rather than allowing any multiple votes. I will consider allowing grammar as a second critique in the future if everything stays functioning.

I rather not let the members get too nit-picky about one another's work or else nothing but chaos ensues!

....except why the hell is that critique box border STILL BLACK for the companion! Gah, I am going to maul it to death.... In essence, this entire thing has come full circle now with the css issue.

you can set it to vote once if you want. I just had to clear the key in order to use the submit button again for testing. normally you would WANT the vote once option or someone could vote multiple times to boost a post/user rating

Got to that part, now the bars?

the bar colors are affected by the table id thing easier. that way you can target specific tables with different colors.

unless you want all the bars in all tables the same color?

would target just table 0

while

div.content table.critiquetracking div.crit_track_bar {background-color:#bfab82;}

would set all tables to the same color

I was going to test changing the bars different colours but it really is not necessary unless for someone needs this for debugging to make sure it works.

well that CSS for individual tables I know works because my test site has 2 different tables. one has green bars, the other has red

Now, I can just click "clear" in the key window to wipe the current vote data and it won't die on me?
