Yup they seem to be working now but I'm still not able to use the Alter because of the pagination issue.

pagination fix for thread listing
quoting alters now puts alter data in quote boxes on edit and display - however if you switch editors it doesnt show on edit.
added option to allow members to change alter author - by popular demand

I think it would be nice if you can collapse the profile for each character, so you can view them all as a list. I have a lot of characters I want to use this for, and the page will get extremely long the way it is currently.

Yeah we dont have access to that area. anything in the admin panel is off limits because plugins/scripts wont run in those areas. so if you want to request changes to that area, you have to make a request in the support board for the developers to look into.

LOVE this code! It does not appear to work on my site, and I'm guessing there's a conflict with something else I have on the site. The Alters tab appears in the profile, but there are no options for it when posting and the test alter I created for myself does not show in the tab. Here's the site I'm working with this on.

Im trying to step through your plugins to see what is going on, but you seem to have a plugin that is setting a key on page load that is overwriting the proboards.data('route') variable and causing any plugin that uses it to not function correctly.

Your profile page isnt showing alters because you changed the layout of the profile view. there used to be a
<div class="pad-all-double ui-helper-clearfix clear">

and you changed it to

<div class="pad-all-double clear">

but you cant just change the class or it will ruin that layout. I would have to add in something to look for a custom target for you to place in that layout where the alters replace whatever content is inside it. like maybe the box to the right of the MP picture.

add an element with class "profile_alter_list" for it to target where you want them to display if you have changed the profile template

Any ideas which plugin it is that's doing it? It was a pre-made theme that I downloaded, but I'm honestly not too bothered in the profile thing doesn't work properly as long as I can figure out a way to get it to work in the posts.
