Tabbed Table in Posts [library support]

Hey Wormopolis, not sure this is a fixable bug or just the problem of javascript and pageloading, but I have noticed one thing that's been occurring since I enabled the Slide transition for this plugin. When you first load the page, if you click on a tab and then click on a new tab before the first tab's animation has finished, the text of that tab remains overlapping the thread. I had my co-admin test several times and the problem was produced every time. I also took a screenshot for ya:

If this is simply an inevitable problem with javascript and loading the page, ignore me. =) Perhaps an option to not let a tab open until the page is loaded to avoid it, if that's the case? Otherwise, if it's a bug.. have fun with that. xD

I think that is a condition of jquery... there really isnt a way to stop an animation in progress that I am aware of.. or if there is I dont know how complicated it would be to implement all the animation ids that would inevitable go along with it.

if you let the animation play out it works fine though right?

Wormopolis, I'm not the one who was messing with it but I believe that it works fine if you let it play out, yes. I'll double-check myself and verify ^^

if I put something in that stops all tab opening until current animation is complete, then it wont go back and re-trigger the tab click. it would have to be clicked again.

Hello! Wormopolis ! Sorry to bother you with this code but I think I have just about all my questions answered from reading the thread, except for one. :

Is it possible to have the tabs on the side of the table as oppose to the top? So the tabs will be say, on the left side of the table and the information for each tab right next to it instead of the tabs on top and the information underneath?

Also, I know it was stated that you can't put images in the tabs because it messes with the coding, will that ever become a possibility?

The left-and-right question was a question already asked, RAZZ. Wormopolis said it would require an entire rewrite of the code, or something along those lines. =/

dont rule it out yet, its not impossible to do, just requires having to make a heavy modification to the code.  I would also have to make sure animations werent affected by it.

This code displays Tab and Title but not contents.

Clicking on Tab changes color of tab but no content appears.

I removed the apostrophe in [PTab=FAQs but that didn't help.

What have I done wrong?

Remove the apostrophe in the tab title and see if that fixes it

Already tried that... "I removed the apostrophe in [PTab=FAQs but that didn't help."

SOLVED. The title had an ampersand. I replaced it with 'and' and it worked fine. My dumb.

Hey Wormopolis, question for you. I am trying to get the table in the second post to work, the one with tabs Characters and Test. It worked before and I Have no clue what broke it but when you click Test it no longer expands, but the Characters tab works fine still. I've looked the coding over obsessively and can't figure it out. The only time I've encountered this problem before was caused by problems with the name of the tab but the name is fine so I'm not sure. Can you tell if it's something I did in the coding of the post or something? alcryst.proboards.com/thread/275
