Before I proceed, allow me to warn you that I am a complete idiot about CSS. I need everything spelled out. If I am not directed to delete a line, I won't. If I am not given a specific place to put the code, it goes at the very bottom. I will not place a closing tag unless instructed to do it. Sorry to be high maintenance in this. This is the board that will show you what I have done, obviously incorrectly: wlsctest.proboards.com/thread/9/lab-spreadsheetMy goal is to have a 3 tabbed post in my vitamin thread: 1. Vitamin List 2. Labs 3. Spreadsheet. There are three such threads already in existence on my working board and I would like to combine them via tabs into one thread. Will you please explain to me what I need to do? Thank you! Kelly Wormopolis

Every time I try to tag you my post disappears when I hit "create message". *shrug* re: wlsctest.proboards.com/thread/9/lab-spreadsheetI am attempting to combine three threads into one via tabs. "Vitamin" thread to contain: 1. Vitamin List 2. Labs 3. Spreadsheet. These three are existing threads on my working board. I am making a horrible mess of it. Can you please help me? Thank you! Kelly

I have all my support threads bookmarked, so you dont have to worry about tagging me in them.
the easiest place to start, is put this in a post:
PTabbedContent]
[PTab=Tab 1 stuff] blah blah blah [/PTab]
[PTab=Tab 2 stuff] blah2 blah2 blah2 [/PTab]
[PTab=Tab 3 stuff] blah3 blah3 blah3 [/PTab]
[/PTabbedContent]
then look at what it displays. Then go back and edit the tab titles. then see what it displays. then edit the stuff for each tab one at a time. your content goes between the [PTab][/PTab] tags

You werent expecting it to show the actual boards in the tabs right? I was expecting an automatic redirect to the actual board, not just a link.

I see. yeah the tabs are just titles for the sections they open up that have content. If you are just wanting direct links, you might as well just go with a standard 4 cell table.

I have no experience with tables, nor any kind of need for them at the moment. But, the tabs are beautiful architecture. While the same thing can be done with stickies or a board with all redirect threads (which I have), putting them into tabs is much more elegant and efficient. You've created a unique and lovely mansion without utilities. Please coordinate with whoever created the redirect plugin and make your plugin really scream. I promise to do the mid-1960's era Beatles concert fan scream if you make it work.

When I try to make any tab it stays like this even when i put it into the preview, but It won't make any tabs.
[PTabbedContent]
[PTab=Tab 1 stuff] blah blah blah [/PTab]
[PTab=Tab 2 stuff] blah2 blah2 blah2 [/PTab]
[PTab=Tab 3 stuff] blah3 blah3 blah3 [/PTab]
[/PTabbedContent]

[/PTabbedContent] Well my first question will be do you have the plugin enabled? My second will be does it render when the post is displayed? If you are thinking this will work in preview mode, it wont.

Thank you so much for this plugin It's a wonderful plugin and it help me alot in decorate my forum. xD But I just have some tiny problem with this plugin That's if the vpop (http://support.proboards.com/thread/573977/vpop-pop-content-proboards-v5) plugin was using inside the tab, It won't show any pop up anymore. So I don't know how to fix this and who I have to contact, so I will just ask you here ; ;;; And here my board and the example what I want to say orzu.boards.net/post/297/threadWormopolis

Wormopolis : To help resolve this issue yumenokaori is having, I'm wondering if you'd be willing to add a simple API to your table plugin. Client plugins would include code: (window.WormoTabbedTableReg = window.WormoTabbedTableReg || []).push( { onenter: function( $e ) { ... }, onleave: function( $e ) { ... } );
where the onleave event would fire immediately before the HTML contents of a tab were swapped out, and the onenter event would fire after the HTML contents of a tab were loaded (including whatever tab was initially visible). In both cases, the caller would pass a jQuery reference to the HTML element containing the tab content. For your part, the tabbed table plugin would include something that looked like: function fireTableEventFor( name, $e ) { $.map( window.WormoTabbedTableReg || [], function( handlers ) { return handlers['on' + name] || null; } ).forEach( function( handler ) { handler( $e ); } ); }
function changeTab() { fireTableEventFor( 'leave', $e );
... load HTML into element $e ...
fireTableEventFor( 'enter', $e ); }
function init() { ... load initial tab HTML into element $e...
fireTableEventFor( 'enter', $e ); }
This way, as many client plugins as needed could register themselves for tab switching callbacks and perform the appropriate tasks when swapping in and out content. Just a thought. Thanks for your consideration.

Before adding any API though.. what if the tabbed table plugin ran first? then it would already have sorted everything into its divs BEFORE any other plugin tries to modify internal content?

Before adding any API though.. what if the tabbed table plugin ran first? then it would already have sorted everything into its divs BEFORE any other plugin tries to modify internal content? Right, which is the reason for the fireTableEventFor( 'enter', $e ); call at the end of the routine responsible for initializing the table. As long as the plugin fires off a notification each time it wipes old HTML and each time it dumps new HTML into the table, including the initial content load, I can deal with my plugin going live before or after the table plugin.
