"Quick Reply" smileys not working

Hi - this isn't a huge problem but 2 of our staff (one in Australia and one in England) report that the Proboards-hosted "quick reply" smileys are no longer working. (They are working for me, in CA).

The English mod tried both FF and IE.

I had one of them try a link to the smiley path, for example:


s1.images.proboards.com/cry.gif


and this is what she got:

Not Found The requested URL /cry.gif was not found on this server

Hi Lady Squid,

I seen a couple of these earlier this week; removing the s1. from the start of the image URL did the trick for the previous topics on this. Can you try removing the s1. part of the image URL's and see if this takes care of it for you as well?

Take out the s1. and it will show.

Hi - are you talking about taking the "s1." out of the "base URL for the smileys folder" in the global footer, or something else?

I'm speaking about the path, like the s1.images.proboards.com/cry.gif example you provided earlier reverting that to instead images.proboards.com/cry.gif instead should do the trick

1. Ok, well I looked in "Censored Words" and in the global and main h/f, and the skins, and don't know where that image path is to change it, sorry.

2. So the base URL for the smileys folder is still

s1.images.proboards.com/

?

Anywhere you have that url (s1.images), you need to remove the "s1." part.

I couldn't find it, that's what I am asking. Where is it, so I can edit it?

I have the same problem, but in the Linkster Diversions forum that is now "Debbie's Place": no smilies, and no other images in the Quick Reply section.  Here's a screenshot of that.  And it's been that way since nearly 2 days ago!  When will this be fixed?

As per ricky's post above, you will need to modify the code in your footer to fix it.

That fixed it! thanks! I noticed that the "reply #'s" don't appear anymore, I wanted to say to Ricky that I had asked in reply #3 the very same thing he told me down below, but there are no reply #'s anymore?
