Nothing else. However, I went to the next block and it worked there. I often wondered about the extra blocks, so there must be a limit to the number of exclusions in each block??

just for clarity: If a user has a post quarantined, and THEN you add them to exclusions, it doesnt UNquarantine any of their posts. if the post was already under quarantine, it stays that way. the keys are stored independant of the plugin settings, so they wouldnt have any way of updating when the settings changed. similar to if you changed it from "under 20 posts" to "under 10 posts", any post already quarantined at 15 posts wont suddenly become cleared.

It will take me some time to get my head around this wormopolis. As an aside, it must be a real effort on your part to know so much about the technical/httml side, and then to have to explain it to dummies like me.  I just seem to have opened a can of worms (no pun intended) because so many other questions have surfaced.

The member's name came up when I tried another 'block'.   There are sort of other 'blocks' where you can manage the quarantine plug. I tried one of them, and it worked. The member's name came up! Funny thing though, I began to get quarantine messages myself when I posted! I am still working on it.   NOW, after what you have said, I am hoping that visitors/users do not see the quarantine after I think I have deleted it.

You know wormopolis...I could make a fortune writing a book on dummy questions>more dummy questions>more.....well you get the idea.  It is becoming like 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' where one broom creates others, and each of the others creates many....Oh boy!  (Not your fault - mine entirely!)

The bolded sentences above still puzzle me.  The member was successfully excluded from quarantine when I tried an adjacent 'block'

To sum up the number of brooms - er - questions - No, I won't go there

If you have a blank rule setup in the rules, it interprets that as "All members, all posts".

what rule are you trying to exclude the member from? as in, what are your parameters to the rule?

Each block you create in the rules tab establishes a new rule. there will always be a blank one at the end of the blocks to allow expansion, but if you have TWO blank ones you have to delete one.

if you are after something that just keeps an eye on the first few posts, then just set the post count to be 3 or 5. once they pass that number they are clear. if you feel they need to be watched more, create a rule just for them

I think the only limit is the overall size of the settings. Haven't looked at the code for that in a while though.

I have had some posts that are Quarantined, but do not show up in the Box on the upper menu bar that says Quarantined.  I noticed them when I look at "recent posts."  Is this a glitch?

or for whatever reason it didnt set your key. do any notifications go out or just those? were they made by guests or members? when you visit that thread, do notifications pop up?

We just installed this plugin, and so far it seems to work great; thanks!

However, I was told by a member that a quarantined post was still visible via TapaTalk. I don't use that app, so does that make sense to you?

Plugins don't work on mobile unless the person is using desktop mode and has JavaScript enabled. This is true for all plugins at this time.

Sucks that the plugin doesn't work with mobile users. I caught a post today, and I didn't see any green check-mark to see who approved it.

Oh well. This is a good security feature to keep spammers at bay, but if they figure out that it doesn't stop them if they disable Java, we are doomed.

Yeah I can only do so much with a plugin. They will always have that disadvantage.
