no I had to disable the plugin, I did exactly as you stated in explanation thread with the boxes and it quarantined all posts including mine (admin) and the posts were still visible to even guests they just had the quarantine message with them, all I want is to restrict two members posts, if I can have a simple explanation as to what to write in every box so only I (admin) see the post until I approve it I would be a happy boy.

I just retested a post on mine and could not see it as a guest. I have a detailed post some place, let me find it. Make sure you have the latest version, and the Companion is awesome for notifications! support.proboards.com/thread/471626/post-quarantine-library-support?page=6&scrollTo=5504556Here is the link to the Companion www.proboards.com/library/plugins/item/326

V 1.1.7 submitted to library
you now have an option to suppress the banner to the quarantined post's author. they see their post as normal (with the exception they cannot quote it). other members wont see a post at all. approvers will see the post and the banner (because that is where approve button lives). the banner will also state that author is unaware of quarantine if the banner is suppressed. if you have multiple rules setup, and one rule suppresses the banner, but another rule doesnt, and both rules happen to fit that poster, then the banner will show to author. I had to do it this way.
now.. what might happen, is the first and only post is quarantined and you set the rule to suppress the banner. the author wont know anything is different, but everyone will open a thread with no posts. so unless you have any ideas on what I could do instead, you might have to explain to someone that asks what happened. I thought about making the thread disappear, but it would get complicated for the last post cell.

Since most quarantines are done for either new members, guests or problem posters, you could make it so that people under quarantine can't start a thread. Just a possibility.

board permissions already do that for guests and ranks/groups. the plugin "postchoke" can do it for individual members.

And you couldn't add the new member to the post choke until you saw them as a new member which by that time it is too late.

if you set up a posting rank for say, 5 posts, then everyone under 5 posts can be restricted from creating threads in a board.
I dont really want to add in something to prevent posting to a plugin that is supposed to revolve around just censoring existing posts.

I dont really want to add in something to prevent posting to a plugin that is supposed to revolve around just censoring existing posts. I was just commenting on the post you made, not asking for it. If I ever have the situation occur where a new member creates a thread, I'll deal with it then. Not to be too picky, but it is not censoring existing posts, but censoring a post as it is made, just like a new thread would be. But, as I say, you posed a question above and I merely tossed out a solution. I'm quite happy with the plug in as it is. I'd put it in the top 3 must have plug ins.

yeah sorry, I didnt intend for you to think I thought you wanted it. and I meant existing posts as in the post still exists in the thread because if the plugin was turned off everything would look normal (like in mobile view).

Not to get real technical but what would need to happen for mobile users to be able to be affected by plug ins? Right now they bypass plug ins. just curious why they aren't affected.

proboards wants the app to be as fast as possible and plugins would slow it down.

proboards wants the app to be as fast as possible and plugins would slow it down. Oh, so it isn't the mobile unit itself, but the app. Thanks, I did not know that.
