Hey Womo, thank you for this awesome code/plugin. Quick question can you add the option to customary the selection name "post mood:" to something else like "Digivolution:"? If you're too busy with other projects, I don't mind the way it is.

Wormopolis, I see you have an update. I think I'm still using  your original version. If I'm reading this correctly, now the members can put in their own images and text? I think that's great ~ but I won't lose any of the current settings if I upgrade, correct?

that was always part of the original code, the recent change was adding gifs to be in the dropdown.  if you update, just make sure to import the settings like it wants you to.

a member can use their own images by giving you the pathname to their images.  they have to follow the same rules in that all the images should be in the same folder, all images of the same filetype, and each image named the same as the names in the drop down.

I love this plugin - it's very popular with the members on my forum.

The icing on the cake would be if the user could pick from a thumbnail gallery rather than the current text drop down.

That is a good suggestion. If I figure out how to do it, I will add that in

because then it would require adding a super user key to the plugin on top of the post key it already has. and the fact you just required a method for staff to police the users choices brings it back to a staff member just having control over adding it in the first place.

Its the part about allowing the users to have their own settings. it has to store somewhere. there is already a plugin that allows replacing the avatar by allowing the member to input a different URL. this plugin was supposed to provide a bit mor control over the choices as well as allow the admin to approve the member's custom path. if th emember does something stupid and tries to change to naughty images, it just take a single click to remove their custom path from the plugin settings and all mood images switch back to default. if the member could set the path in every post, then EVERY post would have to be cleared of its key contents.

however a select dialog showing all the images is doable since I just pulled it off in the images in thread title plugin.

But in order to save to the member's profile settings, it requires an additional key.. or setting up a custom profile field to store additional info - including changing templates to make sure that custom profile field shows up in the MP to extract data.

Im trying to keep away from that on this plugin.
