Steve I didn't have an error at all, for me this works exactly as you say it should, I just wondered whether it was possible to use 'display name' instead of 'user name'? Thanks.

Please ignore my nonsense above! The last person to join our forum hadn't changed his display name as he should have, so it was displaying the default which was the same as his username. So I thought the app was using the username. Duh! Apologies and thanks for the neat plugin!

As far as I'm aware It will only work on the main home template page of the forum as it collects the info from the info centre Steve

I was asked if it was possible to add/show the new members avatarScreenshotThe newest username shows above the users avatar It was the only way I could get the username and avatar to fit neatly on all browsers Showing the new member name above the avatar
Tested IE 11 - Chrome - FirefoxYou can preview it here on my test forum Go - admin - Themes - Layout Templates - Home
Add the code below above or below $[news]<center><div class="container"> <div class="title-bar"><center><h2>Welcome To The Forum</h2></center></div> <div class="content"> <br> <font color="#000000"> <b>Please Welcome Our Newest Member To The Forum</b><br> $[newest_user]<br>$[newest_user.avatar_quote]</font><br /> </div> </div></center> If want to try the larger avatar<center><div class="container"> <div class="title-bar"><center><h2>Welcome To The Forum</h2></center></div> <div class="content"> <br> <font color="#000000"> <b>Please Welcome Our Newest Member To The Forum</b><br> $[newest_user]<br>$[newest_user.avatar_small]</font><br /> </div> </div></center> Reminder you can always preview it Before saving any changes to your templateSteve

~*~ @xsteveuk, I like this but am wondering does the message stay there always? Or is there a way to make it disappear after an allotted time frame? Or disappear after the member reaches a certain amount of posts?
Thanks,
FS

FS Hi, It will show until a new member registers it works the same way as showing the latest user to register Only difference is this shows the new users avatar also Steve
