Christhis doesnt show up in my posting page but the labels are gone from the drop down. can you show me how to move it to just left of the drop down so it would be the second button from the left i dont know if youre going to put this in the plugin library, i just realized i dont want members screwing my forum up by deleting labels so i just want staff to be able to use it could you add a staff, members and staff, everyone option. it would not be shown for members if set for just staff

For some reason I got no notification of being tagged in this thread and when I finally saw it today the thread it loosely refers to had dropped off my participation list. But anyway the plugin was made versatile (also can be read "complicated") in order to work on forums that do massive amounts of modifications. I suspect the forum where you have it installed (you didn't say) had changes done to the subject_line class or its descendants since the plugin has a default value of .subject_line td.subject label wit a replace method. On a fairly unmodified forum the following setting would place the dropper as the second which should produce this If that doesn't work for you then an URL to the forum so I can see what the pertinent modifications are would obviously be needed -- Oh, almost forgot, who can see and who can use the labels are defined by the permissions you set when you created the labels so they should not be on the page for this plugin to manipulate unless the person viewing the page had such permission to begin with (does that make sense?)

Perhaps I wasn't clear but you did change something and in this case that specific something you changed is exactly what the plugin in its default configuration is looking for. The plugin however was written with this in mind and can be reconfigured to look for something else, all you need to do is reconfigure it (which is what the pictures I posted above gives you)

i took the Subject text out i may have changed something but not to the subject row, i dont know what you need eton, i posted the link and i disabled the plugin at any time i needed to use labels. as of now its enabled I do no need anything except maybe an explanation as to why you would contradict yourself by stating you changed something then in the next breath state you didn't change what you just said you changed. As I stated in my previous post the plugin in its default configuration is looking for the very thing you removed which means you would need to create a different configuration such as the one I gave in my initial reply can you show me how to move it to just left of the drop down so it would be the second button from the left I gave you the answer already in the pictures I posted above because you've had problems in the past with understanding typed responses, but again you have apparently ignored it and opted to instead post a link to your forum perhaps waiting for someone to do it for you rather than doing it yourself so do or do not... --peace out

if you have made too many changes to the template that the code cannot find its target spot, then this plugin wont be available for you to use.
there is only so much customization a code can offer and a requester can request.

i reset my template and it was still in the same place, i copied the editor css from a test site and it still was in the same place eton gave me .subject_line .controls a:eq(0) There really was no need to reset your template, all you needed to do was input the new configuration I gave you to change the target since you removed the original target. What was the point of me posting those pretty pictures giving you the alternate configuration if you ignored it and instead drop a forum link without first inputting the change? Please don't ask someone to do something out of the kindness of their heart if you're unwilling (or too lazy) to even lift a finger to aid in that effort, some sort of reciprocal effort is necessary in such a transaction. "Lack of Effort" As for the placement of the menu it is exactly what you asked for, which was "second button from the left" but I guess you meant "second button from the right", I unfortunately possess no clairvoyant abilities and can only go on what was said not what you meant to say. As for padding, if you look at the picture of the settings tab I posted there is a " menu inline style" field where you can input inline styles to affect the relocated menu (probably needs a new name to make that intended use more obvious, any suggestions on what that might be?)
