just like in V4 the report abuse used to be located in the bottom right corner of the post and I'm wondering if that could be done via template the drop down is nice and all but to have the button actually visible would be even nicer.
...I think this is the correct place to ask this if not could you move it to the correct area?

Hi are you meaning the "Report Post" ? yes sorry about miswording it I've been on 50 different forums and its been called "report abuse" instead of "post" anyway is there any way to move it back into the post itself or is that a Proboard side only?

It is possible but the road block is this particular feature generates an AJAX request which conflicts with the general rule stating that no user generated coding can initiate an unsanctioned AJAX request (the only sanctioned request being a plugin key transaction) making this request appear dead in the water. Unless clarification/allowances can be made on whether event driven AJAX requests can be re-purposed perhaps with restrictions such as "of same event type" then this would technically be against the rules

If it's still a user initiated click, you can move items out of the dropdown into the post if you want. Since the user already has access to the report post option, moving it out is not a problem.

That reply by Pat actually has me dancing a jig Misaka if you want this as a plugin instead of a header/footer code or have a preference on link placement let me know. Global Footer:<script type="text/javascript"> $(function(){ var self = function(){ $('.options_menu').each(function(i,e){ var pid = $(this).idFromClass('post'), post = $('#post-'+pid), util = $('<div style="float:right" />').appendTo($('.foot',post)), reportmenu = $('li.'+pid+'-reportPost a',this) reportlink = $('<a href="#" onclick="return false;">Report Post</a>').appendTo(util) .click(function(){reportmenu.click();}) }) } $('.ui-autosearch').on('autosearchaftersearch.reportpost', self); self() }) </script>

I'll take the Plugin as well since it seems to have peak interest for others as well

Here's the code as a pluginLet me know if you encounter any problems or need clarification on something -- Preview --
configured for TOP
configured for BOTTOM
A simple tab enumerating the standard posting options for simple click-and-go configuration
Advanced tab allowing maximum latitude in placement as well as targeting non-standard options
