Hey again, Todge, buddy Is there a way to take off the message that says the image was resized? ...Really not a big deal, but it would look nice. Thanks! Can you please try version 1.0.5 then put this in your Global Header.. <style type="text/css"> .imgresized a { color: transparent; } </style>

TodgeTodge on FF it is loading each photo, didn't see anything that I would call a ad. I loaded it several times and they loaded in about 4 seconds each time and when it loaded the photos downsized. I saw nothing different on IE11 and at this time they are loading like a charm. My hope is by setting the signature resize width from 990px like what was the settings on installing the plugin to a smaller size than my image resize is at all will settle down. Cross your fingers. Hey; I installed your plugin and would really like to use it, but I tested it on a thread, and even after disabling your add-on the thread still lagged. It resized the photo fine, but that specific thread would lag whenever visited on any computer (tested in school, laptop, etc) Upon deletion, the thread loaded fine. Any insites?

It resized the photo fine, but that specific thread would lag whenever visited on any computer (tested in school, laptop, etc) Upon deletion, the thread loaded fine. Any insites? In order for all the images to be picked up by all browsers the code has to wait for the page to fully load before it does it's thing, therefore the plugin itself is not delaying the page loading, it's just that there's something that is taking it's time loading, or not loading at all.. Something that you may not even notice, THAT is delaying the code from firing, and so is creating the illusion of the code slowing up the loading process. I have an idea that MAY help out, but I've yet to find the time to do the required tinkering to see what happens.

I added this because the forum for some reason was not fitting the image to the post size even though I had it selected in forum settings. Yet after adding this, I have changed to full size in settings as per install information. Also have set to re-open in new window/tag (you've put tag instead of tab) yet it just downloads the image when clicking on it. It does this no matter which option I set it to (open in new window or not). discussiontime.freeforums.net/Thanks for the heads-up on the miss-spelling. Could you please link me to a thread where oversized images have been posted? Thanks.

It seems Firefox and Chrome (which I assume you're using) see .png images as documents when trying to open them directly, and so tries to download them rather than display them. The first resized image on your page is a .png image, and so gets that treatment, the second image lower down is a .jpg image which is displayed correctly when clicked. There doesn't appear to be anything I can do about it, whatever route I take to open the image in a new tab I always get the download option instead.. BUT.. There's an app for that.. Well, a browser plugin anyhow.. For FF try addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/open-in-browser/I assume there's a Chrome equivalent, but I can't help you there.. In the FF plugin you then get the option to 'open in Browser as', select 'Image' and hey presto.

stitchyfriendscount.proboards.comhi I may have missed something somewhere but does this just work on web links eg from photobucket et al(which it seems to do very well thank you) as attachments do not seem to resize. Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but I have searched and can't seem to find the answer

Attachments are already resized I believe. You get a thumbnail version of the attached image, so they would probably already be below your setting in the plugin.

OK thanks - yes I realise the posting size is a thumbnail for attachments but this file is stored within the attachments allocation of 200MB and is upto 1MB max on our site. I was hoping addon would magically reduce my load there! lol would save paying for extra storage - not a good business plan I suppose!

Ahh, I see.. I'm afraid this wouldn't help in that case in any rate. Resizing the images does not reduce the file size, only dimensions. The files themselves remain the same.
All you can really do is instruct your members to restrict images to jpeg or png format, to save space, and tell them that any images beyond, say, 100kb.. That should be more than enough for a decent sized image.

Apparenly image resize plugin doesnt play well with my chess plugin in IE browsers.. its resizing all of the chess pieces to full size on the board.
is there a class I can add to the images to keep the resize from applying to them?

Strange indeed that the plugin is increasing the size of your images.. But if you'd like to assign a suitable class to your chess pieces, I'll make the Image Resize plugin ignore them.

How about .resizeIgnore
