Guest IP Look Up (ALPHA)

Guest IP Look Up ALPHA

This plugin will make the IP's shown from the link on the home page & board page clickable, taking you to whatsmyipaddress.com
I've also added in some known bot/spider IP ranges. You can add to this list from the manage page of the plugin (remember to add a name as well )

If you know of any other known bot IP ranges then why not add them to this thread so others can add them to their plugin! The more IP's you have added , the more accurate the results will be.  (If you get a bunch of single IP's and names then why not add those to this thread?).

This is very much an ALPHA release and needs testing (I kept running out of guests and bots/spiders) so there may be changes.
Please report any bugs here.

This plugin may be added to the IP Look up plugin as an 'all in one' once I know this is working as expected.

ON WHO CAN VIEW this plugin to STAFF!

Go Admin > Plugins > Manage Plugins > Guest IP's > Edit > who can view = Select Staff

OTHERWISE THE LINK WILL BE VIEWABLE AND CLICK-ABLE TO ALL

I think it should be set to  = who can view is STAFF by default

The guest link is only clickable for staff by PB's default and via a line in the plugin.
The only reason for setting the permissions is so that it doesn't even try to run if the viewer is not staff.

Maybe I've missed your point?

If you set it to everyone, the plugin will run.
if the member is NOT staff the plugin will still run but the link will not be clickable.  None staff members won't get a clickable button. (I just double checked!)

That dropdown is on proboards side and can't be set by a plugin by default. The forum owner has to set it.

I had it working but there was a bug in the plugin default settings for the bots.  Can you try this for me: link

I've added it to the list but the IP link now shows up in black.
