ok I see where you were going with that then. I think your way works better though with a second background because making it transparent is going to lead to people freaking out that the text is the only thing fading in instead of the the pseudo effect of the image fading out. I have it looking for the closest object with a solid color (which defaults to the message area color unless something else is in there below it with a different color). I tried to make it like transparency, but it immediately latched onto the message div being transparent on top of a cell with a background color. maybe make it where it uses [presto=transparent] as an opening tag for the option? I would be more inclined for that then to make it the default. Wormopolis, I'd love for you to possibly make the "[presto=transparent]" an available option. If not, could we possibly get a CSS class to style the default presto ourselves? For example, if we had a css class, we could just have the default specific to our site. I was the person who suggested the double background image work around to Trin, but I think the transparent option is a better alternative in the long run, especially for those of us who make templates for other people to use. A universal setting such as the transparent would work across all forums, while the CSS class would have to be edited for every forum. I understand that you're busy, so whenever you could revisit this suggestion, I'd really appreciate it.

well the div itself gets the class of "prestobox"
does that give you what you need?

Hey Wormopolis, I'm not sure why but it seems Presto is broken on my site. The hover shows up outside of the picture and there is no hover effect involved. I have an example here alcryst.proboards.com/thread/238/presto-test is there any known plugin that conflicts with Presto, perhaps? I have version 1.0.1

it's the Predetermined Post Drop Down plugin, luckily the plugin Posting Templates didn't seem to be causing a problem

Hello. I just installed the Presto plugin from the library and it works perfectly.
Can someone tell me how to make a button for Reply and Quick Reply that would set Presto tags? Sorry -- very new to V5.
Thanks.
Edited to ask if there is a reason this would work in a post but not in a private message. Thank you.

Eton has a plugin to make new buttons, but mainly its because its not really a simple tag surrounding just words. an image has to be in there before any words in order to work.
I dont know as much about the editors as Eton to start making my own buttons for things. I tried with colorsmear and it didnt go well.
I never really thought it was necessary in a PM mainly because I always thought of PMs as just messages between two people and thus not really important to have a bunch of fancy editing to them.. but it can be added into the route check.

I dont know as much about the editors as Eton to start making my own buttons for things. I tried with colorsmear and it didnt go well. Proboards' V5 WYSIWYG subsystem is certainly capable of inserting nested tags (e.g tables/lists) or predefined content (e.g. the "insert code here" in code tags) so if you want it can certainly be done. You know I'm always happy to help.

Thanks, Wormopolis. I was using a tablet. It worked when I used it in a PM on the pc.
Eton, is that something a V5 newbie (me) should be able to do? If so, how do I get to the subsystem. Thanks.
