Speaking of bats when I also get a chance I'm going to put some Halloween stuff in that crazy from the bottom to the top code! Also Eton fixed that code if anyone wants to use it< I haven't had a chance to put it in yet? That's not an all-purpose code since I only modified it to use the images you were attempting to insert and also fixed the inverted behavior (bottom to top). Also the "jumping" in all these codes occur when the image used is larger than the image the code was originally written to accommodate. That plugin Baller95 wrote for example could be improved by either allowing you to input image size when adding new images or automatically detecting size and using this in the calculations when trying to determine when an image is about to hit the side of the screen or fall out the bottom.

You didn't need to delete the post jrryan, I was just making it clear that it was a specific edit just for your specific needs just in case someone else wanted to use it. Also I too have the memory of a younger brother associated with that day and like you I find it is much better to remember and celebrate who they were, I hope you've found peace

Hello jrryanI'd put it back up here and right before you deleted it (after Chris fixed it for you), I gave it a go over at my test site (main header) and it worked perfect!

Chris, the code itself was not made by me, aRMY83 posted it somewhere in this thread and I made a plugin out of it. I don't think I'd be able to make any changes like that, I don't have quite the coding skills just yet jrryan, I'm sorry to hear that as well but it's nice that you're doing something for Halloween to get your mind off it

Plugin updated once again Its getting harder to locate the post with the plug in, without backtracking to try and find it. What did you change this time? There are now preset images for Autumn & Winter included in the plugin support.proboards.com/thread/485634/falling-images

ChrisSorry Eton I didn't know and I deleted the post. I've had some trouble on my forums with colors and a plugin or two and have been wrapped up in that and I haven't even had a chance to try your code fix but I'm going to and I sincerely appreciate your help. On the bats thing I was talking about we just thought it would be neat this close to Halloween to put it in even though it's wrong with the bats coming from the bottom to the top. I was looking at that just for the day of Halloween itself. Halloween is special to me because it was the birthday of my late father and it has pleasant memories. Thanks Try this if you don't already have it. Attachments:Bats.pbp (1.44 KB)

It jumps even with the tiny leaves. The jumping I observed was when an image ventured beyond the viewable area (even if just by a pixel) causing the browser to slap a horizontal scroll bar across the bottom then when that image ventures back into safe territory that scroll bar disappears ergo a sporadic jumping effect. Was there another kind of jumping you observed? The two codes I've seen posted in this thread compensate for this by subtracting a fixed width from its calculations before testing if the right screen boundary has been reached and that width is based on the size of the image.

There has been good code and bad code posted in this thread. I use the one Army posted and it jumps and I do get that scroll bar at the bottom that you talked about.

I just tried Baller95 's plug in and it jumps too. Can you please show me the code that works and doesn't jump/get that scroll bar? Thanks
