Can you make it unlimited? I want to use an image for each member. Have a look at this code jrryan posted. It might be more helpful for situations like this Its very tedious. It would be a lot easier to just have the plug in add an extra line every time the last url is filled in. All that script to look through for making adjustments wouldn't make it worth the effort for me. Don't you remember all the problems we had with the script... that was the whole reason why we decided to make the plug in, in the first place. The whole idea is to make things easier and faster. Thanks for the link though.

blcThere are no problems with this script I had it re-worked at Dynamics forum. Also it's not a tedious actually as the plugin. You download all the images you want at your image host ( have to do the same thing with the plugin) and just make sure you number them in order. Then you just put one image in the script change the numbers to the amount you want to use and then put it in the global or main header. I've used as many as 25 images so far with no issues. Going to use it soon on snowflakes and will use no less than 20 different snowflakes. Can set anything you want , sway, speed, amount. Also one you put your images in your host then they are there always and when you want to use it again just choose the right theme. Nothing to it actually. Baller can testify it works flawlessly. I know its been reworked and works now. I just don't like messing with changing scripts or css. You have to make sure you have the exact right spot all the time for changes. One little mistake and its screwed up. I used a plug in that worked something like that with 52 images, but you just list one, making sure it was a certain on, and at some point an image got lost and the thing didn't work right after that so I deleted the plug in. I use photobucket and don't know how the image managed to get dropped/lost or whatever/ This is how I'm using the plug in. trueblueliberty.com/I'll have to check your site after you get all your snow flakes going. Right now I am using the snowfall plug in with the falling images. Tag me when you get your flakes going ok? I just had an idea... I'll tag you to it when I start a thread.

Add this to the top of your plugin to determine the route name of the page you're on: alert(pb.data('route').name); Remove it when you're done. Tim Camara, I've tried this - var board_id = pb.data('page').board.id
if (pb.data('route').name == 'home' || board_id == 1) {
and this - var route = pb.data('route').name; var board_id = pb.data('page').board.id
if (route == 'home' || (route == 'board' && board_id == 1)) { But it only wants to display on board 1

I'm testing it on my test forum. Board #1 is the "general board" and you'll see the falling leaves there but not on the homepage - test forum

If you open up your javascript console on that page, you'll see that it's erroring on this line:
var board_id = pb.data('page').board.id which is because pb.data('page').board doesn't exist on the homepage. If that's the only place you're using board_id, then you can just move the entire thing into the condition, rather than setting it to a variable first.

blc No problem but one of the changes is you do NOT have to put in multiple image url which makes this code very nice, you only have to put one url image link and again make sure you put the other images in numerical order on you image host. This script reads the images inclusively instead of you having to put each one in. You could label a photo as cow01 and cow02 and have a cow and a dog, the code doesn't care what the image is only the name. Here it is using 12 leaf images on my test forum. I have used as many as 25. scootproftest.freeforums.net/All the editing of this code is in two simple places, first section is the bottom of the code and is self explanatory: </script> <script type="text/javascript"> var leaves; jQuery(function($){ leaves = new rise_fall({speed: 60, sway: 20, Amount: 36, grphcs: (function(){ var gb = 'http://www.jr-richscooterdoc.com/FLeaf/Leaf', ge = '.png', i = 12, ga = []; while(--i){ga.push(gb + i + ge);} return ga; })(), accumulate: 255}); }); </script>
As you can see I only have one image url in this code, I actually have 25 different leaves but I can set the number I want it to grab up to the 25 in my image host, the work is the same as far as that goes, plugin or this script, actually in the plugin you have to put every single url in it, not so with this script.
Also there are no CSS edits with this script, none.
The ONLY other place to edit is at the top and it's simple the direction 1 for downward fall and -1 for upward direction.
dir: 1, // Set the direction (1 for down, -1 for up)
I don't use photobucket either I have my own host with godaddy so I put all my files, images etc. on it. I have a few snowflakes already and when I want to put it on my main forum I'll put number 1 snowflake url in the script and presto I'm done, also if you want it on all pages put it in the global header, only on the main page in the main header, very simple. That is how that plug in worked, just one url for all 52 images.... I do use photobucket, though my domain is with GoDaddy. I usually just have something like that on the main page, I don't want members saying its in the way site wide. It would make reading more difficult. Maybe I'll grab the code and play with it on my test site to get the feel of it. Does it have the accumulation at the bottom?
