Also, our developer just took a quick look and determined that the cause of the problem on that specific forum is the embedded YouTube video. It falls back on HTML5 when flash is disabled and still displays, causing the problem to persist after using Michael's solution.

I was having a similar problem on two different vbuiletin forums, when using Chrome, but not when using Safari. Based on the post from Ricky Z above I tried it in an incognito window and it worked fine. Then I checked plug-ins (extensions) and disabled one called 'hi contrast' - problem solved!
