[This plugin is no longer available or supported] This plugin (Theme Transparency) allows you to have opacity (transparency) for your themes. This does not affect your background images or it's color, but only the body of that theme or themes. Note: Before you enable this plugin, you may want to select which theme, if multiple themes, you want transparency for. Settings: The following radio buttons have preset opacity input fields: 0.5 - 0.6 - 0.7 - 0.8 - 0.9 or None for no transparency. Information provided: Modern browsers use the opacity properties which means Chrome 70+, Firefox 63+, Internet Explorer 11+, Opera 56+, and Safari 12+ supports this. These versions may not be up to date! Version 1.2.1 Beta Plugin Update: 11/05/2018 - Complete rewrite. Added radio buttons for easier opacity input.

This plugin allows you to have opacity (transparency) for your themes. This does not affect your background image or it's color, but only the body of that theme or themes. Before you enable this plugin, you may want to select which theme, if multiple themes, you want transparency for. Setting examples: 1.0 = no opacity : 0.1 = total opacity. CAUTION: Setting the opacity to 0.1 may result in you not being able to view your home page! Start with 0.9 and work backwards until you feel comfortable with the opacity. Information provided: Modern browsers use the opacity properties which means Chrome 27+, Firefox 22+, Internet Explorer 9+, Opera 12+, and Safari 6+ support this. These versions may not be up to date! Version 0.2.1 Beta Plugin Theme TransparencyAs I am new to all of this on this site & "Baller95" test page is in maintenance mode, where could I see what this plug-in looks like & better understand what it covers. I sounds like just what I am looking for in my forum. Thanks for your help in advance, topcat 1

I sounds like just what I am looking for in my forum. Thanks for your help in advance, topcat 1 This is my test site, I use this on my themes. I defaulted to a theme that I am presently working on because it really shows the 'transparency'. There really isn't much choice with the transparency at least from what I have seen. It says to start with 0.9 and work backward until you like what you see. The problem is that if you have more than one theme, you need to make sure that the choice you make will work with all themes. This makes it limiting. Some themes could handle more transparency than others, so I just use the 0.9. Maybe I'm doing something wrong though. It wouldn't be the first time. It would be nice if you could use different transparency settings for different themes. truebluelibertytest.proboards.com/

Thank you much for your help. That is not exactly what I was looking for in my forum. But it looks really good in that test site.
Thanks again, TopCat1

aRMY83, I had to remove this plug in from my site because it was causing a blank band across the screen for members using chromebook. This was confirmed by Ricky in a support thread here. Since then I have had a couple of other members say they were getting something similar. I am waiting to hear back from them as to whether disabling the theme transparency plug in took care of their issues. Disabling it definitely fixed the problem for Gibby. I was wondering if there was any chance you could fix the plug in, since I liked the effect on a couple of my themes. Edit: Ok updating to confirm that a second person has said the problem (floating thing) has gone away since I disabled this plug in.

Hello blcSorry to hear that you and your members are having issues with this plugin. Unfortunately I know nothing about Chormebook and because of that, I have no answers for you or your members. Gibby uses the chromebook. The other two people use google chrome on windows. So, it goes beyond the chromebook.

It is Chrome that seems to be a problem. I have had the plug in installed for many months. We have been trying to figure out the problem for months. Now we know. A lot of people use chrome.

Is it possible to add an option to make the banner transparent or not? I love the plugin, except for the fact that it also makes the banner transparent. Thanks aRMY83
