Forum URL: motorhomefruitcakes.freeforums.net/Hello Again On a long thread the Prev/Next page(s) buttons are right back up the top of the page. Is there any way I can repeat these buttons at the bottom of the page so they dont have to scroll back up to the top to click next? Thanks

Hi, bdpoop. That bar should follow you down the page unless you have Javascript disabled in your browser. Regardless, you can do the following edits to your templates to duplicate the pagination bar on the bottom of the page. Themes > Layout Templates > Board- Find this bit, and add the part I've colored red to it. Themes > Layout Templates > Thread- Find this bit, and add the part I've colored red to it.

That bar should follow you down the page unless you have Javascript disabled in your browser. Not meaning to butt in but wouldn't having Javascript disabled on your browser basically mean nothing would really work on the site? Like Plugins? Just curious because if it would make plugins problematic I'd like to put up a note about it and such on my own forum but only if it would indeed break plugins and such

Plugins are hit and miss. Some don't require Javascript to work at all.

Baller95Correct but why waste a plugin on your count total when a simple template change will work? I've got to save what few I have left! LOL Good point! I guess I haven't really reached my limit but what is the limit anyways?

Without purchasing additional plugin space, a forum can install 40 before hitting the limit.

David Clark your mini-profile rocks my socks. (once you hit your limit you can always buy more space for quite cheap, too)

This worked well on my forum: rugbyleagueuniverse.freeforums.net/threads/recent BUT because I widened the top bar recently, the "Prev Next" bar disappears behind the top bar. How can I stop that? To help me in future, what do you call these 2 bars?

To help me in future, what do you call these 2 bars? They're called pagination bars. It wouldn't be possible to prevent them from disappearing. Since your menu is a fixed element it takes priority and hovers above everything on the forum.

Just revisiting this thread and thanks for the replies. I have noticed that when you click the next page button whilst it works it puts you at the bottom of the next page not the top so you still have to scroll all the way up on a long thread. (Its taken a while to get some long threads to discover this!) Is there anything I can add to the code to make it go to the next page but start at the top of the page? Thanks

Can you link to an example of this, as well as tell me which browser you're experiencing it in?
Clicking on the Next button should make the browser scroll to the top of the page once the posts have loaded.
