Takes any option out of the post options menu and positions it as a new button, link or menu at top or bottom of the postHow to install a downloaded plugin (by Ryan Roos ) -- Preview --
configured for TOP
configured for BOTTOM
Example 1: report post option as a separate button and IP sub-menu as a separate menu Example 2: Labels sub-menu as a separate menu A simple tab enumerating the standard posting options for simple click-and-go configuration Advanced tab allowing maximum latitude in placement as well as targeting non-standard options When defining which options to relocate and where while on the advanced tab you also now have the ability to prepend a route prefix qualifier to the target selector (eg @new_post .controls .button:last-child). The "@" is used to activate the selector for that route name while "!" is used to activate it for anything but that route name. This allows greater flexibility on which pages you want a relocated link or menu to appear
Once I am satisfied no major bugs exists I will then upload it to the online library As always, should you or any of your Beta Testing Team catch a bug, the author will welcome any knowledge of your reproducible actions and observations Updates:
- Dec 11, 2013(v0.0.6) - addressed double deletePost links when relocating the one from the moderator sub-menu

Would it be possible to ever incorporate the features: rename any button that you are relocating and add styling to it of your choice?
EDIT: Also, glitch report-- it appears to be working perfectly except when I try to do the button [moderate] Delete Post, then it shows up twice for some reason. It could be because I have extensive layout template modifications, many other plugins, etc. But I figured I would let you know in case it is a problem with the plugin ^^
When this problem occurs, I do not have the other Delete Post button checked. When I uncheck [moderte] Delete Post and enable Delete Post, only one shows up.
I am looking at one of my own posts. When I look at someone else's post while only [moderate] Delete Post is enabled, I see only one Delete Post option. Based on this, I assume that [moderate] Delete Post is having both versions of "delete post" show up. Hope that helps =)

Would it be possible to ever incorporate the features: rename any button that you are relocating and add styling to it of your choice? Those are all possible if you opt to use the "Advanced" tab rather than the simplified "Settings" tab. Caption allows you to choose another name and accepts HTML making it possible to use an image for example. You also have inline styling as well as the ability to add additional classes. If you do not know the menu identifiers that you would need in order to use the advanced tab you can run the following in your browser's javascript console on a page where the menu item you wish to relocate is currently present $('.options_menu li[class]') .map(function(){return this.className;}) .get().join('\n')
old code (has been updated above)
$('.posting-options-list li[class]') .map(function(){return this.className;}) .get().join()
EDIT: Also, glitch report-- it appears to be working perfectly except when I try to do the button [moderate] Delete Post, then it shows up twice for some reason. It could be because I have extensive layout template modifications, many other plugins, etc. But I figured I would let you know in case it is a problem with the plugin ^^ When this problem occurs, I do not have the other Delete Post button checked. Based on this, I assume that [moderate] Delete Post is having both versions of "delete post" show up. Hope that helps =) It's not your layout and I thought I had already addressed that several months ago but apparently not (probably forgot to save changes), thanks for bringing it to my attention.

For those wishing to use the advanced tab, I'll modify my previous code snippet since what I gave was for the posting page menu only and not for the thread viewing menu. This corrected snippet should give you results in both situations (posting and viewing)
$('.options_menu li[class]') .map(function(){return this.className;}) .get().join('\n')
example results (thread view):
The number at the start would be the unique identifier for the post but for the purposes of the identifier needed for the plugin you would ignore that number and use what follows the dash (e.g. "reportPost"). For sub-menus (i.e has the "ui-menu-has-sub-menu" class) you would use the first class (e.g. "modFunctions" rather than "moderate"). Obviously you would have no numeric post identifier on the posting page since there would be no need to differentiate between one post and another.
A second example might be to use searchIP if you wanted to relocate the entire IP search sub-menu under moderate and have it be a menu independent of the menu it was just pulled from. On the other hand, if all you wanted was the search Posts (by IP) link within that sub-menu then you would use 5639954-ipSearchPosts dropping that numeric post identifier as explained earlier.
Do not hesitate to ask for clarification if still not fully explained.

From what I read in this thread, this plug-in works on things BELOW the "Actions" menu to pull things out as separate gadgets. I would like to pull out "Previous Thread" (low priority) and "Next Thread" (HIGH priority) to make the gadgets on the same line as "Actions". Am I missing something, and this plug-in will actually do what I am looking for as a modification?

Sorry GooRoo, this plugin addresses only the post menu (i.e. "cog dropdown") that every post has, the actions menu deals with higher order functions such as thread manipulations.

Is there a way to make it work for just one board?

Is there a way to make it work for just one board? There are no board options in the plugin SailorEffinMoon but if you use the advanced tab you could use something that contains the board ID as a target. For example, the hidden thread link next to the date in each post also contains a class specifying the board ID so as a workaround you could setup an advanced entry: resulting in the button appearing only in board #3 in the given example

Chris How would I make the labels drop out get moved? I've tried to find but my mind is going 'nope' Boy_Wonder , keep in mind the labels menu is only in the cog menu when on the posting page (elsewhere it is in the actions menu -- which this plugin does not handle) and the setup looks like this (on the advanced tab)
