disable all pics?

Hi. I'm wondering if it's possible to get a plug in(or code) that would allow members to block/hide any pictures that get posted...

Can I ask why you need this plugin? It's a bit of an odd request

Some of my members have asked for it due to sometimes someone will post a pic of say a women in a bikini,,,might get them in trouble at work. I know other things like smilies and sigs can be disabled so I thought maybe pics could be too...If not, no biggy I guess, I just told my members I'd look into it...So I did ha ha

Note that a plugin won't hide or disable images or image posting from the mobile app or the mobile site.

That's OK. The ones asking for it post from their PCs at work lol. Ideally it would be a setting in their profile like being able to disable avatars and smilies etc...Again not sure if it's a plug in or something else that would make this possible as I'm not very good at the tech stuff.. I appreciate any help with this,,,

ziggy11, you should be able to do this without a plugin by using CSS. If you create a new theme (even if it's a duplicate of your current) and name it "No Images In Posts" or something to that effect, you can go to the style sheet of that theme in Admin > Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Style Sheet tab and add this to the bottom.

See this post for the CSS.

That should disable all in-post images for posts and PM conversations.

It worked on the pics but gifs still show up. Would there be a similar solution to block those?

To confirm, I tried this last nite and had the same issue with .gif images showing.

Can you link me to a post with a gif in it for my reference, ziggy11? The CSS should affect all images, so I'll take a closer look.

Not sure if some one is tinkering with this or not but now it seems the GIFs are hidden but pics are showing up

From what I can see, ziggy11, it doesn't appear to be showing on the "No Pics" theme. Is that the theme you're on?
