The White King should be able to take the Black Pawn (Legal Move), but the move is not being allowed by the plugin.

first off, can you install the latest version found in the library for me? I have fixed a few bugs since the version you are running. bookmark this thread if you want to know when updates are pushed. updates will not affect the game data, just add/fix features.

if it still doesnt work, I have another update due in a couple days that I know will, because I just tested that game on my alpha version and it let the pawn get captured.

and since you had an older version, if you suddenly dont see your playboards show up, notice that in the settings it has been separated from the FEN editor. so you can have boards where you play and boards where you discuss separated if you want. if you update from an old version, it wont put board choices into play boards automatically.


and if you set the key READ permissions to guest, I can see problems easier.

Totally understand about all the variations of moves. This is an incredible plug in.

as soon as this hits library I will make a thread for the companion beta. I wanted to get a few people to try it out before I pushed a version to the library in case they find bugs I dont. right now to test it, I have to start a game against fake accounts and switch back and forth between firefox and chrome in order to verify notifications work. but that isnt exactly a real world test.

I also havent figured out how I want to display win/loss stuff.. so I will eventually take suggestions on what people want to see for that (in that thread)

Im glad you people like it! probably one of the biggest codes so far.. and might only be surpassed by the combat system plugin...

I had an idea for this plugin but I wasn't sure if its feasible, so I want to throw you the basic concept.

Right now we can only play chess matches against other people when its already planned. Which I love in itself, however I was wondering if there's a way to have it almost as an 'open table' type affair. So if there'd be a way for a person to have a 'looking to play' type thread and it goes into a chess board play after a second person has 'joined' the table.

I'm wondering this as I'm only using it in a RP sense, so characters play chess in a roleplay world rather then preordained matches.
