If you have been reading thus far, you don't want me to turn that off. The key will run out of space. And then apparently cause a domino effect.

Currently configuration is:

* Who can view this plugin... Everyone

* Who can read everything... Everyone

* Who can write to everything... Everyone

* Plugin OFF because your comment: "well That is what I wanted to check on was what was still in the key. Change the key write permission to "Everyone" for now".
Ok, I understood because the "That is what I wantED to check" (= is checked) and the "for now" (= roll it back) that you meant "revert it to off (as is already checked) and change permission to Everyone (so I can work)". 

I turned ON now. Currently no plugin is working (e.g., no recent threads, no buttons...). Please confirm if this is the config that you need. Otherwise, please let me know it to turn it back to ON on Sunday night. Sorry, I think I misunderstood you.

In order for me to access the key contents, I need it on. Im going to delete a few events to get it back under limit.

I understand you want to keep it off to make your other plugins work, but we need to coordinate to fix it. the other option you have is to clear the key for the plugin and start over. but I didnt think you wanted to go through all that. I can extract-fix-replace the key data as long as I can see the key in the first place. even if its only on for a few minutes, I can extract-empty-replace until I can later push real data.

I believe you said before that plugin settings size was capped at 64K. which is basically 64K characters (length) of the settings object.
Are the keys sized the same way? the literal length of the text field holding their value?

clear the data for that key. using the admin panel. I have made a backup of everything.

go into plugin manage and click keys tab. it should give you a list of your plugin keys. clear the key for events calendar

i pressed clear data on row:

7 Wormo_calendar_events Forum (super)Event Calendar Clear

and it shows a error message: 'This plugin key currently has no saved data associated with it.'

maybe you have cleared already...
