Chess Notifications [library support]

1. does their opponent have a "notify other player" button above their view of the board?
2. if you click their stats box, do you get a button to "add notification" on that player?

if the answer to both of those questions is "no", then that player already HAS a notification. do they not see the "chess" menu item appear up in the menu items?
can they give you a screenshot of what they see when they are saying they arent being notified?

the notification only clears IF they click the "your move" button above the board. if they click that, and it brings up the play board, then it clears notification. if they are choosing to leave the thread at that point, or close the browser, then there isnt anything I can do. they are CHOOSING to do that. and in that case, their opponent can hit the "notify other player" button if it is appearing.

I have often gotten the notification, gone to the board, even hit the my turn and changed my mind before making my move that I wanted to think about it more and left. I think this happens a lot to people and then they forget about that game because the notification isn't there.

And no I had no notification button when I hit their stat box. So they probably got the notification, but may have done as I described above. It would be good if we had the ability to resubmit the notification.

Wormopolis, it appears that the ranks and win/loss totals do not work if the user posts more than once in a thread. See Sabine's account--first post, the OP, has it fine. Second post she makes is broken

It gets one chance to send out a notification when they click "I Moved".  if it didnt send, it would show that button right away.  there isnt going to be a continual background loop of sending the notification to the other player until they respond.  there are a myriad of reasons why a notification doesnt send, but I cant do anything about how AJAX works.  Im not allowed to keep sending AJAX requests just because it fails.  PB would kill me.

if the other player opens up the board, but then backs out without actually moving, it isnt going to be able to put their notification back.  they WERE notified, and they chose to ignore it and not play.  that wouldnt be a fault of the notification system at that point.

The admin can also manually push a notification to a player by clicking their stats box in a game they are playing.  if the button to manually push doesnt showup in the dialog, then they already HAVE a notification.

I'm loving this plug in so far but I can't seem to see anything on the mini profiles about the ranking. I have at least one member that should have that stated on her mini profile yet nothing came up.

Any suggestions of what I've possibly done wrong?

What did you put into the MP to make it show? do you have a remodel that might be causing it to not know where the MP is?

I'm not sure I'm following the question. MP? (Sorry I'm not familiarized with all the terms yet.)

What I did was... I defined the rankings on the plug in options but I didn't mess anything on the HTLM coding or template. If this helps to your question.

Look at the plugin settings, at the tab MP info. there are some placeholders you need to put into your MP template in order to tell the plugin where to put the data.

So I just place on the MP template? Any particular place or I just place it there wherever I feel like it?
