Companion to Chess System Plugin for providing notifications to players when it is their turn.

will also keep track of wins/losses

REQUIRES CHESS SYSTEM 2.2.2 or higher!


shows stats in first post of game thread
shows stats in MP
notifies players they have games where it is their turn
provides button to notify other players manually if they dont already have a notification

Ok, I have a question. Should both players have a notification at the same time? The person I am playing has a notification bubble, but it is my turn ad I also have a notification bubble. Just wondering if this is how it is supposed to behave. Thanks.

It is supposed to clear when they take their turn. clicking the "your turn" button should clear it.

I don't think it is. But, I don't know what you can see when you check on things like that. We both had/have notifications, though it was and is my turn. I haven't moved.

He did initiate games with 3 other people, but at that time, none had engaged him. Two have now, so I don't know if you can tell where a notification is coming from since he has three games in progress and one waiting.

if you click the menu item up in the menu bar, it should show you the games that have sent notifications. clicking the game in the list will take you to the game.

if the other player didnt get the notification, then you would see the notify button above the board.

No, he IS getting the notification in the notification bubble, its just not going away when its my turn.

so immediately after he takes his turn, the bubble is still there and it lists the same game he just took a turn in? or is it listing a different game?

Wormopolis, is there a way to customize the red border around the stats above the game? I'd like to just change the color, if possible. If not, no biggie. I'm loving this plugin thus far though I have a lot of testing left to do. One thing is that ${chess.rank} and the others you gave do not turn into anything, they just look like ${chess.rank} in the mini-profile, so I thought perhaps I needed to use brackets instead of the curly brackets and switched it to $[chess.rank] but that doesn't appear to be it either. Am I doing something wrong? Does it need to be a div class?

div.chessStats will affect that box and its contents.

as for the MP. If you have remodeled the structure and it can no longer see div.mini-profile, it wont be able to search for the placeholders

the plugin doesnt actively hide or unhide things. it just searches the MP html for those placeholders and replaces the text values they hold.

can you link me to a profile where it isnt substituting the values?

Oh I see what it's doing. If someone doesn't have a win, loss, or title, then it keeps the variables as they are. If they have something to put, it replaces them. You can take a look at a few of the mini-profiles in this thread to see what I mean. Brady has wins/losses but not enough for a rank so it still has the rank variable, and Kai'os has nothing so all three variables show alcryst.proboards.com/thread/234/another-sticky-thread

If possible, I'd suggest having it so it replaces wins/losses without a number to 0 and ranks without a name to simply None

Its grabbing the wrong user_id because I have bad regexp. I dont have any users on my test site with ids over 10 so I didnt catch it.
