Hi-ya,
The pop-up is a way for the plugin to correct it's thread count that has gone awry. This can happen because a few reasons..
PB keys are loaded with the page, and are not renewed until the next page load, so, if more than one member is creating threads at the same time, the browser that creates the last thread does not know that other threads have been created since the page was loaded, throwing off the thread count. And so the pop-up is displayed. When you close the pop-up the plugin 'should' correct the thread count, but again, that is dependant on whether any threads are still being created between when the pop-up is displayed, and when it is closed.
If threads are created while using the mobile app, those threads will not be included in the Recent Threads list, and will also throw out the thread count, as will any threads created with a browser that has JS disabled, and if any threads are created by guests.
These problems cannot currently be corrected because it is not possible to get a newly created threads ID until said thread is created, hopefully some time in the not-so-far future we will be able to do so.
As for the doubling up of threads and the random links, I haven't found those issues on my test site as yet.. Are they a common problem?

Okay, I believe I am following what you are saying. However, clicking Ok on the miscount pop-up has never, in my experience, fixed it.
What I have found now seems to be fixing it is to open the list of recent threads by clicking on the plugin title bar (front end), then clicking on the thread with the linking problem to remove it and then resetting the key from there.
I've done that the last three times and it has worked so far.
We don't have the traffic yet for threads to be in progress each time this has happened, and its happened when I've been almost alone online, in the wee hours, posting a new thread for one thing or another. Will posts, and not just new threads happening at the same time create issues?

Yup, anytime the key is updated, if there is more than one thread/post in creation at the time, the last to be submitted will overwrite the previous ones.
The plugin is due an update to hopefully help stop that with new posts, but that has yet to be done.
Do you have the Read and Write permissions of the key set to 'Everyone'?

I can verify that this is the behaviour: 1) Create a thread 2) This window pops up: 3) Clicking on the link for the thread over in the "Recent Posts" list takes you somewhere random 4) If you don't click "OK", the thread vanishes from the list once the page refreshes

It sounds like either threads are being created at the same time others are creating threads or posting, or, for some reason, the key isn't always being updated.
Do you have a lot of members on your forum using the mobile app?

Do you have a lot of members on your forum using the mobile app? I am not aware of any that are. I tried it a while back and didn't like it. We don't get very many threads created, it's still a pretty small board, so it is unlikely that two are being created at the same time.

In the plugins' settings, do you have the key options set to 'Everyone'?

Then I am stumped..
Are there any threads missing in the list? As in, are there any threads that have recently been created but have not been added to the sidebar. The only way that the issues you have should occur is if threads are being missed, and the only ways I know of that happening is multiple threads/posts being created at the same time, creating threads using the mobile app, or if the key, for some reason, is not always being written to when the thread is created.
I'll do some digging...

In the plugins' 'Settings' tab, the fifth option down is titled 'Container ID'. If you put sidebarr-left there and save, the recent threads should be moved into your sidebar.

So I have the Recent Updated threads sidebar all good and installed, but can somebody tell me a way to separate each topic? For instance: here is what it looks like now: i57.tinypic.com/2yoso3k.jpgBut I would love it to look not as messy with lines or something separating each heading, kind of like this: i59.tinypic.com/mru4h3.jpg Any help is most appreciated
