Todge , we're having some trouble with the plugin. it shows up as a blank image. i think this is because the layout we are using remodels mini profiles. i did enter the name of the new avatar class. let me know if you have time to help!

If it leaves a blank image it sounds like there's something wrong with the image itself.. Can you please leave a link to a guest friendly thread where posters have tried to use a different avatar so I can take a look. Thank you.

Hi Todge ! I seem to be having a bit of a weird hiccup with this plugin. I think I can see what's happening, though I have no idea why: once you hit the submit button, all of the .'s in the image url seem to be getting swapped out for ~'s, and that's making it a non-viable url. I've switched back to the default theme, don't have any other plugins installed, and have tried different hosts and file types in case it was a .jpg issue or an issue with that particular site, but that doesn't seem to have resolved it. I've put together a test thread that shows what's going on. Included is a screenshot quoting the post above it, where you can see that the url is full of squiggles. You can also see that same div & ~~s combo as the page begins to load after hitting the submit button as well.
Any idea why my dots are getting switcheroo'd? Thanks!

Thank you for the test thread.. I've found the problem.. For some reason your forum is changing posted URLs into links. There's a couple of things I can do to fix it, but both will require an update that I'll get to you asap. In the mean time, to make the plugin work, in for forum settings, change 'Auto-Embed Video Links' to 'No' and your forum will stop convertuing the URLs.

Hi there, I'm having a problem getting this plugin to work. I have a test forum here... kelly-test-forum.freeforums.net/I have installed the plugin v0.1.1 at present, I have the Yootil plugin and Rudolphs Presents plugin. I have tried moving the plugin in the list but that hasn't helped. The new box appears to enter the direct link to the image - (Just an example one I downloaded was "https://i.ibb.co/mT5mRt3/kfpanda-150px.jpg" - without the quotes). I have tried numerous others as well. I put in the link, but just before the post submits the HTTPS changes to this #s://i~ibb~co/mT5mRt3/kfpanda-150px~jpg I have tried various releases of the plugin, but they all seem to do them same. I disabled the embedded links setting in the forum settings just in case this was conflicting, but that wasn't helpful. I'm using Google Chrome. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Trix.

The plugin is acting correctly by changing the image URL, that is to stop a conflict with another plugin occuring. As to why the image is not being displayed, that seems to be because you have an extra <div> cell in your avatar cell. Please can you try version 0.1.2, this 'should' take any extra cells into account.

Todge... Thank you Todge, that fixed the issue. Sorry, I assumed with the link changing as it was, that was to blame for it not working. It works lovely now, thank you.

I would like this plugin to change a miniprofile image. It is a custom profile field where users can put and url, and then it shows up in the miniprofile, different from the avatar. This thread is pretty old but could I somehow have post specific miniprofile image?

Can you please elaborate a little..
Are you saying that this plugin is not working with your current template, or that it does work, but you would like it changed in some way?
It sounds like you are asking to have an extra field on the profile page where members can add an image URL that would then be displayed in their mini-profile.. If that IS the case, you will need to make a plugin request in the Request a Plugin board, as that would require an entirely new plugin.

If that IS the case, you will need to make a plugin request in the Request a Plugin board, as that would require an entirely new plugin. Nah, that is not what I meant. I already have this option in my forum to add an image URL on the profile page, and that is what shows up in the miniprofile. But I would like people to be able to be able to change this miniprofile picture specific for every post. Just like this "post specific avatar" plugin does to avatars. This plugin has the option to add the "New Avatar Class", if I want it to be displayed elsewhere in the mini-profile, but even if I change it the avatar links won't show. Probably because of the custom field -thing. You helped somoene have this plugin change miniprofile background image, so I thought this plugin could be used for this purpose too with some modifications.
