Plugin Collaboration

While I don't have a ton of time, I would still like to work with a few coders here on a plugin that ₪» ⅀ ƪ Ƒ «₪ (dropping you right in it ) is going to think up for us (not too big, but not too small).

Is there anyone interested in taking part?

Don't worry about your skill level, even if you are contributing by testing, then you are an asset to the team.  Also, don't worry about time, if you are interested but not sure what time you will have, still post.

Once we have a team, then we can move onto what type of plugin we will be doing, just post below below if interested.

Hi Peter,
I made a similar thread over at IOD last week and fortunately have a few people throwing in ideas and testing. To anyone else reading this - Testing is a big help/time saver and decent ideas a big plus also!

I'm short of time so it's a slow work in progress though I have the backbone (un-efficiently) coded.
Anyway, as the forum game idea I have at them moment has a scoring system I'll no doubt be asking you about hooking it into your monetary system. I already know it'll be one of the first things asked if/when it is released.

If you don't get any interesting ideas and fancy jumping into expanding what I already have , give me shout/skype. I really don't expect to get it up and running properly for a few weeks, or more, with my current rate of progress and lack of time. I already expect it to be a for-ever on going development.

(If England get knocked out of the world cup at the first stage, I'll have more time!)

If anyone else has an idea for a plugin that would be good for us, suggest away. The more unique and fun it is, the more chance we will select it.

Definitely not late, nothing has been decided yet. Once we think of something (with the help from ₪» ⅀ ƪ Ƒ «₪ and Boy_Wonder if they want too), then we can discuss it further.

I know people are busy (I am), so not expecting them to write 100's of lines of code. It's something we can work on gradually as people find time.

I actually had an idea pop into my head a second ago. Over on Studio Zero is an automatic achievement system. I've always wanted to write one (even started one a few weeks ago but gave up after I accidentally deleted all of my work in a computer crash). It's fairly simple. There's a little data handling, lots of event stimulation, we'd have to come up with a list of Achievements first, but I think it'd be cool to work on.

I start writing one last year, some of that code is on Github, I just never found time to go back to it. When I looked at the code a few months ago, I decided it needs a complete rewrite if I was ever going to do it.

Haha, it looks awesome to me. But that's coming from a person doesn't exactly have the programming experience you do.

Another idea could be a "Easter Egg" system. "Eggs" would be hidden around the forum and if you found them you could...get something.
