Hey guys!
One thing I was thinking about that came to mind was something to do with monthly or daily character spotlights. Or even something that generates different characters/players through out the day. [Hopefully this makes sense.] It would be something, I'm assuming that could be placed in a sidebar that would be generated by the Admin or something even that changes or updates throughout the day/week/month. It doesn't have to be fancy or anything. Just something simple and easy to use.
Just something I've seen on other sites, and for my site, and i'm sure other Role-Play sites as well, it would be a handy/neat addition. =]

This is entirely possible through manual adding already, so I'm curious what you want the plugin to do differently. You mention you want automatic, does that mean it just cycles through the members of its own volition without the admin choosing who to honor? Does it mean the admin puts a "line up" in the plugin settings to be revolved between automatically?
I ask because if all you want is somewhere to display it and the admin to have the ability to go in and add someone/change it, that's already possible without a plugin. =)

I wasn't sure how to go about it -- But yes, more so just cycling either through a list, because I feel if it cycled on it's own, it would be more so members and I want to do more so characters. =] So in short, to go with the Admin [myself] adding a list of each character and it just cycle through the list. Is there any way I could get some instructions? Or even a code to work with? Sadly, for me, my coding skills only go so far.

While I know this is a something doable by html I'd be willing to make a plugin for this - it would require you to input a member/character name and an image and there would be limits

Doesn't sound like it's much to input on an Admins end anyhow, if you could create a plug-in that would be amazing =] and very much appreciated.

It could take me some time - I've got the rough basics for a 'static' display I just need to get that code working before I tackle the random option. Static display will show all characters inputted so I'd advise you only use this if you want to put a limited number of characters in. Random will select any one character at random that you've put in.
I've so far included fields on the UI for: Character Name Character Link Character Avatar OTM Title - aka if its Member of the Month etc

That sounds good -- The information that would need to be included [Name, link, ect] is good: So static would be good for limited like you said and you're working on the randomized part. Take all the time you need, again, it's very VERY much appreciated.

Thank you! I'm trying to get the static to work before I tackle the random but I have it at least set up so I can get onto random straight after

Awesome! I'm sure it's great =] One thing I was worried about, but with a plug in like this I don't think it will be a problem; I have an issue with getting some of them to work properly with the template I have up. For whatever reason [maybe coding or settings, ect] that sometimes they don't work. But I don't think for something like this, it SHOULD be an issue.

And its submitted to library waiting approval!
It should work fine as its not looking for anything other then something with an id="OTM" eg <div id="OTM"></div>

Awesome! I can't wait to see it!
Okay, just making sure - It seems to be an ongoing issue for plug ins for me.
