Oh you mean if I had created my code from scratch and then I saw that SOMEONE ELSE HAD A FADER ON THEIR FORUM!!! Shock. Gasp. Horror.
Come on - everyone looks in other forum's sources for codes or fonts or whatever. It's how you handle it and doing it respectfully that's the issue. You don't steal images, you don't rip designs, you don't copy templates. That's just low, uncreative and irritating. And yes, if someone created a carbon copy of my forum or used an image I had made, I would be seriously pissed. As far as taking a function code that does nothing at all unless I created my own stuff for it to effect, I see no issue. Any code that I take the skeleton of, I always quote in my credits and I always use it in an original manner with my own content and my own customization, mostly to the point of re-writing it entirely. Sorry if that offends your delicate sensibilities.

Hey, I searched for frickin' hours trying to find an image rotator that I could work out how to edit, okay. I'm not that frickin' lazy. All the codes I found were javascript and jquery. Neither of which I understand or write. (Maybe I was searching for the wrong stuff too as I kept searching for image fader, not rotator.) I've looked high and low for one that is in html or css but those codes just don't work that way. I tried several of the ones I found on the internet but they would customise right, they wouldn't work how I wanted them too and I was fiddling blind with a code I didn't understand. Therefore, I went with the source code of another forum that was using a code that worked, so that I could have a look at how the code worked, how it integrated and how it could be customized. I knew where I could put my own content because I was simply overriding the content used on the other site. I had to rearrange every bit of customization the source code had so I'm not using any of their stuff. Just the bare skeleton that THEY found from somewhere.
I really don't see an issue with this. And I won't be lectured on stealing other people's property by someone who has a damn SHIELD website - because of course, none of the images you've used are legally copyrighted or anything, but hell and damnation on me to use something that is only intellectual property under common law on the frickin' internet.
If you want to help, then help, if not don't. - I've already told you that that code you're using doesn't work. It doesn't solve my original problem and, when I tried to input it, it brought up new problems, such as the fact that the initial image stays for nearly 20 seconds before it starts to fade, and the load up of the images looks horrid. If you can actually help me find one that works properly and yes of COURSE I would prefer to use that one.

Right, as if to prove my point on trying to get other free ones to work - I am now trying to use this sort of fader. Only I can't get it to work. Any suggestions?

I have no idea what that sentence means. Didn't it say on the page that it was hosted by Google?
I have downloaded the file but I don't know what to do with it.

I really don't think that plugin will work for you if you can't understand basic instructions. You'd honestly be better off using something that has all the code you just paste it in or Nivo Slider plugin made for proboards support by iPokemon

I've never liked plug ins because of their lack of customization but I've given it a go. I can't seem to get it o do anything or appear anywhere. I don't know where it's going to appear either because there doesn't seem to be a place to select a location. The main problem with that plug in, however, is that you can only do your pictures in pixels - I need to be able to do mine in percentages for what I want. :S Thanks for the friendly help though Luna! Much appreciative. If you know how to fix the above issues then I have no issue using the plugin

As far as my knowledge serves, you can customize the plug-ins using CSS. It usually appears below the banner structure. I have once tried it by using the ID to move it. In the same principle, you can use it to adjust height and width(possibly by forcing it). You can either use HTML injections(which is also a great plug in, btw) or media queries on the theme editor. It all depends on what your end goal is. Using plug-in might be the 'safest' in terms of javascript and jQuery usage on PB. It's been packed accordingly so as not to heck up the site in general.

Okay fair enough. Do you know why it's not working on my forum? I've not done any editing beside putting the images in.

Many thanks!

I actually have no idea why the slider is not showing but in this case, the WooSlider might also encounter a problem with the scripts. Have you tried this script instead: www.spyka.net/scripts/javascript/simple-banner-rotator ? I have not tried it on a PB forum but I am certain the documentation will help a lot. What I do with these kinds of multi-component solutions is convert it to a plug-in. That way it will sort itself out where you want to place it and not clutter your templates.

Wow this one looks the best Trinity, thanks!! I'm going to try it out now... Watch this space...
Thanks for your help too Luna.
EDIT: Hi Trinity, I've transferred all the html and css onto the forum, and downloaded what it asked. I now have a JS file on my computer which I'm assuming needs to be on the forum to make the rotator work (because it doesn't at the moment). What do I do with the JS to get it to the forum?
Thanks!

Okay I've tried uploading the js file to a website hoster. I don't know if I've done it right, but this is the site I used: yourjavascript.com/and I have put their link of - <script type="text/javascript" src="http://yourjavascript.com/0116324734/modernizr-custom-04022.js"></script> - into my Global Headers/Footers So far, it's not working? :S
