first impression As soon as I was directed to your site I instantly noticed a lot of mustard yellow and dark greens. Though I assume you want the forum to look "foresty" it can be a rather difficult palette to pull of tastefully. I can tell you've put a lot of effort into the site which really reflected on the sort of cozy or "homey" feeling when I entered.
pros - Looks fairly organized as far as content goes. Everything is easy access and I don't feel confused by the layout, as some forums might have too much clutter in their skin. Yours doesn't. - Text isn't too small or hard to read, which is good.
cons - I noticed all of the different fonts you were using for your graphics. For example the awards, season, mini banner and board graphic fonts are all different. I would suggest using the same font or something similar otherwise you give off a hectic or even messy feeling to your board. - I would refrain from the use of gradients (on your category headers), especially if you aren't using them anywhere else on the forum. Unfortunately with gradients, they are a love or hate kind of feature. - Your banner's width is not quite on par with the rest of your forum. - You should use a background around your forum. - Your background is tiling, but I'm not sure if it's my own screen size. ^-^ I have a 17" laptop. - The last thing I noticed was that your color scheme does not really correlate with each other. You have yellows, greens, and browns which is fine but then you use black and grey. You should try and use the darkest colors of your background or your banner for the darkest colors on your forum, instead of black. For example color picking one of the trees in your background could be used as the color of your category headers an even the background of your chat box. Really just picking out colors from your palette already instead of making up your own will really help tie in the colors together.
This is one of my favorite palette generators www.degraeve.com/color-palette/ You just need to copy paste a picture URL and it will give you a palette of darks and lights from that image. I think either putting in your banner or your background will give you some good results to use on your forum.
Good luck with your forum!

Just a quick note about the screen size: Physical size of laptop doesn't matter, resolution size does. Your banner is currently 1,300px × 861px; which isn't a bad size. If it had more seamless tiling at the edges that would be best of course, but hard to do with a forest unless it's dark. Ultimately when using a picture like that there's always going to be someone with a larger resolution. I use screens with over 2000 resolution on the width, and most of the people I know have larger monitors. It's going to be hard to have things not tile for people like me and still look good for those with a 1360 px resolution width, which I assume is about what the resolution is of this 17" laptop.
It might not bug people as much though if the background was muted a bit so then it wasn't so stark... or if it faded at the edges and you set the background to top-center and no repeating. Then there wouldn't be a tiling problem and the image could fade into a light, but solid, background. Just some options.

Thank you both so much!
VOSSITY - I am glad that you have picked up on the homey feel. I refrained from having a pre-made skin because then it truly would not be my own design. - For the odd mustard yellow and dark green colors, I don't see that on my laptop. Although on our family computer it shows the odd mustard yellow and such. Weird thing and I don't know why. Any who I have changed the color scheme based on that awesome palette generator you suggested. I mean thank you so much just for that. I am no artist and this helped tremendously! - For the gradients, I see your point. I looked it over and choose a different style that I believe gives it a nice rounded look now. - Yea it does not tile on my laptop. - I have no idea how to put a background on the forum. I attempted this at one point by adding a colored box to my background picture, but that did not turn out well. Do you know how to do it correctly? Nori - How would I fade the background image?

You would need to use an image editor and change the image itself to have faded edges

Oh ok, thank you. I have removed the background image and replaced it with a solid background. I think it looks a lot better now.
