The endless loop would be due to the script, not the variable. Adding just the variable modification to the default template does not present the browser navigation loop.

srf1516I would advise on the removing the script (((At the bottom of Thread List template)) {if $[page] != 1 && ($[route.name] == "list_threads")} <script> if(document.URL.indexOf("recent") >= 0){ window.history.go(0)} </script> {/if} until the problem can fixed Steve

Just a note. This seems to be working great in every browser except for IE. I don't use IE, but some of the members are reporting the page will not advance. I have tried it in IE also and on mine the whole page is displayed wrong? (part of the reason I don't use IE) Hi can you post a screen-shot so i can see what the issue is Also did you add the line of code to fix IE fix to align the avatar? THEMES > ADVANCED STYLES & CSS > STYLE SHEET AND AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE STYLE SHEET PAGE ADD THE LINE OF CODE BELOW .created-by .avatar-wrapper {display: block;} Hi Steve, Yes I added that line where directed. I went in on IE to take a screen shot for you and every thing appears to be working properly now. You got me??? And I haven't been getting anymore bug reports from users. Hmmmmm

I just checked it again. Yes, in IE it is advancing the pages just fine for recent threads and it is also displaying properly. I have no ideal what's was wrong before. I'm just glad you saw it too. LOL
