Banner Auto Resize

I need a code to auto size the banner to fit the forum width on all computers. I noticed on some screens the banner gets cut off, while on others it looks fine. What I want is a code that makes it where everyone can see the whole banner no matter the width of your computer. And I mean the picture on my banner gets cut off.

Examples:

On my computer it looks like this: fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2014/208/5/8/screenshot__53__by_ladysesshy-d7shsxf.png


While on my iPad it looks like this: fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2014/208/f/b/untitled_by_ladysesshy-d7shtgd.png

I want my banner to look like the first example on all devices no matter what size the device is.

If you add width: 100%; to the banner id, that should do the trick.

Excuse me but I have no clue what you're talking about. I've been through the whole admin section and don't see any setting like that.

Sorry, I shouldn't have assumed you knew about id's and classes. Try adding this to the bottom of your style sheet by going to Admin > Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Style Sheet:

#banner { width: 100%; }

Then you entered it in incorrectly. I just tested it on my own test site and got no error.

How odd, I did the exactly same thing and it worked this time. Course only after I restored my computer. So the problem was in Windows 8.1.
