You've obviously mistaken borderline madness for something akin to smarts, but thanks for the kind words

I'm running into some issues getting it to function properly, I've configured it but all the text is always white, is that a proboards theme issue? Is something disabled? How can I make my own theme? I've replaced the CSS with the one provided. I've tested with multiple enabled languages. chillservers.boards.net/thread/143/test-codeEDIT: I'm not noticing that it's functioning properly in the admin control panel which leads me to believe it's a theme issue.

Plugins do not run in the Admin panel that I'm aware of.

That is not the result of a plugin, that is a built-in option in your admin panel. If you click the little "eye" icon at the top right of the text area, you can change the colour scheme of the text and background -- not plugin related whatsoever.

My apologies, I am confuse. The problem still persists. I have reinstalled and re-applied the tweaks and it still displays valid code in all white, without any highlighting. I even disabled all other plugins to test for incompatibility. chillservers.boards.net/thread/143/test-codeWhen I change the post text color, it changes the default color of the text for the code, but I want to keep it at white. Would this be the cause of the problem?

I am not familiar with this plugin otherwise, however, so I'll leave your query for someone else to answer.

I'm going to take a stab and say this might be due to using the MODE instead of the MIME in this particular case. Ususally the mode is adequate if it covers a single language but in cases where a mode can cover several flavors it is wisest to use the MIME instead of mode. The dropmenu that is created for the code button inserts MIME instead of mode to avoid this situation. You can easily find the MIME type for a language by going to the languages tab in the plugin settings and looking under the MIME column for the language you're wishing to use As a confirmation, I changed the title of the code in your post to use the MIME type instead of the "clike" mode just before the plugin ran and got highlighting I should also point out that the code menu (when clicking on code button) won't show unless you change line 374 from $.each(this.editors, function(key, editor){ to $.each(ui.wysiwyg.editors, function(key, editor){

Thanks for getting past my incompetence and providing a valid solution. The trick that restored functionality was changing line 374 in the Javascript component. Thank you so much for this. <3

I see that this thread is quite old, but I don't want to create a programming language syntax highlighter thread and get in trouble for it.
I have installed the syntax highlighter plugin, but it doesn't have any language I use available in it (PureBasic, AppGameKit). I have tried to add a language using the add language thing that comes in the plugin, but have failed countless times getting it to work. I have done research and I have found a site that has a bunch of languages for highlight.js, but I don't have any experience in the following languages:
Java Java Script CSS
I'd like to request if someone could either add PureBasic to the Syntax Highligher plugin or create a plugin that highlights for PureBasic
I'd like to have PureBasic and AppGameKit, but at least PureBasic for sure
Thank you

Writing a syntaxer for pureBasic would require intimate knowledge of using that language, which I do not have. I dabbled in Visual Basic but would not call myself proficient. Perhaps you could try collaborating with someone proficient in pureBasic to roll your own custom mode for that language. codemirror.net/5/doc/manual.html#modeapitagging Lynx since I recall him mentioning being proficient in GWBasic or some other flavors

I was going to try it, but I don't have any experience in modeapi. My html experience is outdated. Roughly 30 years maybe lol. I have not studied html since the original html. I haven't had time to study html5 yet. I will look into finding someone that could write me a custom mode for PureBasic. There are lots of helpful people at their forum. Thank you for your time
