Hi everyone, morning to you all I hope you are all feeling good and well I just came back from a long walk I made this morning. It was a very enjoyable walk through windy 5 c weather and also helped to clear my head a bit

John, thank you very much for your words yesterday, they meant a lot to me I really do hope I still have some friends left here too. The fact that I can't always be here has nothing to do with me not wanting to be a friend for people here and/or elsewhere. I enjoy talking with the people that show up in this thread regularly and care more for them then anyone might know

Linette, thank you very much too for your words, they are very much appreciated. And your words pretty much covered the load...people indeed have a life outside the computer and internet and it seems some people have a problem realising that. It's been a time for the past two years in which I have gotten to know more and more who my real friends are or not..

I have been going through quite a lot the past two years and quite often just wasn't able to be online and it sometimes really hurt me and made me feel guilty cos the last thing I want is not to be there for friends especially when they have troubled times themselves. But circumstances can't always be controlled. What can I do if I get sick for weeks at an end or get one migraine after the other ? What can I do if, like this past 5 weeks half the time I don;t even have an internet connection ? What can I do if a friend in real life gets a friggen cancer scare ? At that moment all online life can wait, I will tell you that much ! At that moment I am there for the friend who has the cancer scare and ain't gonna waste any time online !

The moments that I can be online I have , as far as I know, always tried to treat people with respect and decency and understanding. And quite a few of those online contacts have had their own troubled times which meant they couldn't talk to me for weeks or some times even months...and I understand that, as you say, Linette, there's a life outside the computer.

The last two years since I got confronted with one problem after the other at times, I have not gotten the same understanding back from quite a few and have been told all sorts of stuff, like being unreliable, not caring about friends online and more things, at times even plain insults.. well if that happens a bit too often one gets fed up ! And I was yesterday. People have no idea how much I actually do care about those online that I do call friends. And to get something like the above thrown in your face cos you are going through circumstances you have no control over is pretty hurtful and has made me a lot more careful to even post much anymore and that really makes me sad cos it's not how I want things to be..

Most of the bad experiences I had were not here but in other forums...but it makes you weary for everything in the end...all I can say is that I care more then anyone knows and at the moments I can be here I will be here as much as I can. But I am also up to a point where I clearly feel like " if you think I am so unreliable and don't care, then please don't talk to me and stay the heck away from me"

Anyway, hopefully I can get a period of some rest now without another bunch of problems coming at my path so I can rebuild some contacts again with people

Teddybear8 , no one should ever make you feel bad if you're not able to be on the internet.

I had NO idea you were back until I saw your post in another thread.

So please, tag me when you're around. I'm always glad to see your dancing self!

I make no demands and truly don't believe anyone needs to explain why they are, or aren't, posting.

Friends accept one another for who and what they are.

Just take care of yourself, your real life friends, and whatever else needs attention.

And when you can spare the time, it's always great to see you here . . . or on my forum.

As I told you before, I make no demands or have any expectations of my members other than they obey ProBoards' ToS.

Remember Teddybear8, we are always here no matter what and sometimes I can go a day without using the internet especially if we are busy with the grandsons like today. Liz will be heading off around 11 ish to watch wee Kaiden while Denise and her hubby have a parents meeting at Connors school so Liz won't be on the internet for a while today because family comes first. 

Liz was ok at the doctors ♥ ℒʊ√ ♥, her blood pressure was normal but took two attempts but I think that was due to nerves as she hates doctors visits. Liz is not going to like this morning as I mentioned above as she is going around Denise's, just had a look out of the window and there is heavy frost all over the place lol.

Teddybear8, I recently lost my mom to cancer, she was my best friend more then she was a mother and a father to me, and I was coping with it in a way I actually never expected. I kept to myself and mourned quietly in my own time and because of that everyone thought I was a cold hearted you know what, I'm still mourning for her.  This is where the term comes in, completely misunderstood and labelled as someone I'm not.

I have one awesome online friend who's been there in my life for years now, we've never met and we have tried lol and failed. lol We only live 45-60 mins. from one another but, none of drive, but we're always there for one another online (go figure), we also have each others phone number so it's not like we can't get a hold of one another, we can but, don't.  We have the strangest friendship going I swear but, love each others presence.

She's my true friend, I hope someday you will find yours Teddy, they just kinda sneak into your life, grab you by the hand and don't let go and you don't know it until you pull away, now that's a friend.

So far from what I see Teddy, you have three friends who are here for you, I find ♥ ℒʊ√ ♥, and Caajscot (John) to be awesome peeps, I have so much fun posting with them here, as I am sure you will too.

At least here, you have refuge from reality with people who will make you smile if not laugh, here you can shrug off the ones who make you frown, but most the time I'm hoping we can make you smile.  Laughter, after all is the best medicine for the soul.

Ah, my dancing friend is back. I know you're happy when you post multiple pics of your happy feet, Teddybear8 .

I think sometimes we can be our own worst enemies. We build scenarios in our head that someone may be thinking this or that, or not like this or that about us, and most times we are wrong. We tend to be hard on ourselves and that's never a good thing.

Wonderful post, @linette . Some of my best friends are folks who I've done business with over the internet. Some have remained from my selling days on eBay. And that's more than 8 years ago. And two live right over the bridge from me, yet we've never met in person! And I feel the same about you. It's great posting with you, too.

Caajscot (John) , I completely understand about Liz's "white coat syndrome" and her blood pressure. I suffer the same thing! I have perfect blood pressure, but not while waiting in a doctor's office! It's doesn't go dangerously high (around 135) and thankfully, my lower number remains ridiculously low. But I share her anxiety.

I know both sides of this all too well. Most of my members are very private and don't like to talk about what is going on in their lives. They come to my site just to get their minds off of it for a while. A place where we can all smile and put our minds in a different world and have fun. For each of us, there is something huge going on behind the scenes. To talk about it online is sometimes hard while a person is going through it.

Your true friends will still be there for you when you get ready to post again, no matter how long it takes. Twice I've had to go offline for a year because of life changes and loss of internet. I had tears when the web site I was so active on, my old friends were still posting on my main thread topic keeping it alive in case I were to ever get to come back. True friends will be there for you when you are ready to post again. The second time was after I had started my site.

As for the other side, knowing my few main members of my site also have such rough times, I am NOT on Facebook to know of their reason for going quiet. I am a mom and so that carries on to my online family too. I worry in silent when anyone of my members don't post for a long time.... one of my members recently lost a close family member and went silent while she back read, keeping up with the site. She needed time before she could feel like posting again.

You don't owe anyone an explaination, sometimes I just tell my friends that I'm going through a busy time that I will be back soon.... they wish me well and are there when I can get back into the swing of things. I hope things go better for you soon.

Right now, I have turned my members into dragon hunters, chasing around collecting this dragon   in honor of the FB movie coming out in a few days. One member told me last night that the dragons were burning a hole in her candy bag. LOL! So, I had to make a cage for to replace the bag image.

I'm using this dragon on my test site just to give me a laugh. 

We have a big day today. A couple of important appointments that have my tummy in a rumble. Nothing new really, I just can't wait until the day is over. 

I hope everyone else here is doing well. I wish I could go on a long peaceful walk this morning. It's nice and crisp/cool out. Blue skies today. Last night we had the brightest moon ever since I was born. I think they said the moon was not this bright or close to the earth since the 1940's. Oh goodness. I might be way off on that date. Still, it was beautiful all night. I hope everyone was able to see it.

Good afternoon all, a wet miserable day here and getting colder every day, I love it but Liz...well, she hates the cold lol.

That's Denise rang a wee while ago as wee Kaiden was not well, not eating properly but drinking a lot of water, Liz noticed this when she was around there watching him yesterday while Denise nipped out for a few errands, so Denise took him to the doctors, the poor wee soul has tonsillitis. Liz is going around tomorrow to watch him while Denise nips out again but I will pop around later on tomorrow and give him a granddad cuddle and kiss, we hate seeing any of the grandsons ill.

That's Liz just left to go around Denise's ♥ ℒʊ√ ♥ and Dee texted Liz this morning and said the wee man slept well last night so the antibiotics must have worked or working on Kaiden, hopefully I can nip around Dee's later and see him but Dee was worrying about me with my asthma that I might catch something from him so I might just wait until Friday when he is much better.
