Mom -- No idea what to get. Dad -- Something patriotic (USA)/US Navy related. Sister -- a gag gift to go along with the gifts for my nieces. Niece (age 10) -- something superhero related. Perferably Batman. Niece (age 7) -- same as her sister. Brother -- no idea Sister-in-law -- no idea Nephew -- no idea (youngest member of the family. will be 1 years old at Christmas) Family friend we "adopted" -- no clue. |

I was (internet) window shopping. I got 9 people to buy for. I found an action figure for one of my nieces for a joke gift, but it's not as "gold" as I would like. A great gag gift would be get a empty ipad/ipod/iphone case and wrap it. xD It wouldn't be a gag, in the comedic sense of the word. Her daughters/my nieces are really into superheroes (thanks to me). I would get them something superhero related (Batman perfered) and a superhero t-shirt for my sister (something she could use. In DC Comics, the publishers of Batman, they have the Green Lantern Corps. When I was a kid, they were the only ones around. More recently, the publisher added other colors, each representing a different emotion in the emotional spectrum (based on the colors of the rainbow, and two ther colors -- black and white). Red Lanterns represent rage. Orange Lanters represent greed. Yellow Lanterns represent fear. Green Lanters represent willpower. Blue Lanterns represent hope. Indigo Tribe represent compassion. Star Sapphire Corps (Violet) represent love. Black Lanterns represent death. (members are resurrected from the grave, and are basically zombies) White Lanters represent life. (members have mastered all the other colors of the emotional spectrum) My sister is legitimately named Hope. So, I was thinking of getting a shirt with the Blue Lantern Corps logo on it as a little play on her name. |
