I Thought this might be useful It will add Google Search to search your forum for threads etc!
You will need to add your forum title where it says in bold
Then add your forum address where it says in bold without the http or www
ADD THE URL OF YOUR FORUM HERE WITHOUT THE HTTP so it will look something like myforum.proboards.com
GLOBAL FOOTERSScreen-Shot <br /><center><form method="get" action="http://www.google.com/search"target="_blank"> <div> <table border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0"> <tr><td> <input type="text" name="q" size="25" style="color:#808080;" maxlength="255" value="Google Search The ADD YOUR FORUM TITLE HERE" onfocus="if(this.value==this.defaultValue)this.value=''; this.style.color='black';" onblur="if(this.value=='')this.value=this.defaultValue; "/> <input type="submit" value="Go!" /> <input type="hidden" name="sitesearch" value=" ADD THE URL OF YOUR FORUM HERE WITHOUT THE HTTP" /></td></tr> </table> </div><br /></form></center> ADD THE URL OF YOUR FORUM HERE WITHOUT THE HTTP so it will look something like: myforum.proboards.com between the " "
Clicking on GO will open a new tab page with the results found on Google

I'm not positive, but try increasing this portion to a higher number
maxlength="255"

Ah, then reduce the number to see if it makes it smaller

same difference....does nothing by raising the "max:255" or lowering it...

I am completely lost and have no clue what I am doing....SOS!!! lol I give up before I mess this up even worse. Sorry but I tried and have 43issues now and this is almost going on two weeks and the longer I keep trying to fix it the more problems are arising.....
1. I need to shorten the Google search Bar in the middle sidebarr-right box.
2. I need to habe my "The Empire" start inmline woith the title bar "labeled General" which I am guessing is 15 to 20px below where it currently sits. I am also hoping that move allows my news feed to extend the full width of the forum once again.
3. I need my Recent Threads, box 3 in sidebarr-right to not exceed the bottonm point of my Forum info and statistics.
4. Lastly, I would like to make sidebarr-right box 2, the search box tighter and eliminate the spacing.
I will paypal someone to help me fix this.....it's not as if I haven't been trying.

I'm unfortunately unsure on how to shorten it. I checked google for how to shorten an input box, which is what the search bar is, and it said to reduce the size and the maxlength. On my test site, reducing those to even as small as 1 didn't change the width, so it's going to require someone more knowledgeable than me to change it. It must have some hard-coded length in it because the size and maxlength aren't affecting it. For the other issues, I would suggest posting in the main Support board for admin assistance, as this thread is specifically for the google search code and no one will probably see it here (but me, cuz I stalk support lol).

I don't think it will work on the side bar as the maxlength="255" it the amount of characters when entering the search form and the name of your forum that will show on the search bar
you could try adding width: 100px; to resize the table if that will work adjusting the size 100px
<table border="0" width: 100px;
