Plugin to Show How Many Boards/Threads are on a Forum

I wanted to add to my homepage how many boards/sub-boards/categories are on my forum. I don't want to have to update the number every single time I create a new category/board/sub-board.

Is it possible to create a Plugin or HTML/JavaScript/etc... that I could implement into that area of my Custom Page to show the information to potential/current members?

tbserialkillers: I guess I could have explained that better; I mean all boards, boards and sub-boards together, but on their own line, if that makes any sense.

So a table with boards and sub-boards different, not counted as the same.

But then a "Total" of all of them together.

Does it make sense?

Let's try an example for clarity.

Let's say you have 3 categories. 5 boards on each category. But ONE board in the third category has 2 sub boards.

What numbers should I expect

I wasn't thinking clearly and forgot to add an example, my apologies.

With the Plugin, I just thought about this because I forgot about categories.

You'd expect:

Categories: 5
Boards: 17 (it includes sub-boards).

You were right, sub-boards are boards, so they should be counted as such. My mistake.

Now does it make sense? Sorry about the confusion!

I wasn't arguing or anything. I just needed clarification. I can already get a board total and category total. I have that working. I can even tell if a board HAS sub boards. Its trickier to get which boards are sub boards. Not to mention how would you classify a board that WAS a sub board, but also had sub boards of its own?.

I know you weren't; sorry if it came off that I was angry. I wasn't. I was trying to get it across and I didn't mean to make it seem like I was angry; I wasn't, I just wanted to clarify it for you.

I thought about that, and I'd just have the board as it's own.
