Works with Hashtag in post plugin to create a list of the X most popular hashtags and display them where you want them. uses a super forum key for storage

this wont go back and count up current tags. it only saves on NEW tags added after plugin is installed. there is no way to count up existing tags. you can edit the post however and on saving it will push into hashcloud if you want.

requires "Hashtag in Posts" plugin v1.1.0 or higher

Any chance we could get an option added to sort list by when the Hadookieag was added? Like have the most recent ones go at the top. Right now, it's either not sort them at all, or sort them by popularity; which results in having old popular tags crowding out the new ones from getting visibility.

the way I wrote the math, I told it to not only take into account how many references it knows of, but also how old it is in the list. if the first tag it stores has 200 references, that holds a higher significance then the 199th tag in the list. BUT, as more and more tags are added, eventually even that 200 reference tag will get phased out by the newer ones. It will actually be storing about 400 tags, but it will only display the number you tell it to. I can put an option to sort by time, but that would defeat the purpose of the cloud having each tag hold relevance. your 200 ref tag suddenly gets pushed out after 25 tags or so.

when comparing two tags with the SAME ref count, however, the newer tag will win because the math puts emphasis on the position in the array.

I can see if maybe adding in something to help get older tags out by looking at array length, but Im not sure what effect that would have on newer tags added that only have 1 refcount.

Okay, I have a request/idea. Would it be possible to exclude tags from certain boards from being added to the Hashcloud?

Example: Todge, for their Recently Updated Thread Sidebar, has a page with the following settings.

"If you have any boards on your forum that you do NOT want to be included in the list, select them below.
Restricted Boards." And you can chose among your boards for any you don't want added.

Yes. Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I've been very busy.

My thought was to use tags in picture galleries and fanfic threads to help people find specific things like that that they are looking for.

Examples: #Supermanpic or #Batmanfic

Which would be great, but would quickly potentially overtake everything else in the Hashcloud unless I had some way of excluding the tags from those boards from being added to the Hashcloud.

This is a really fun plugin. Thanks for making it.

Trying to see if I can get the list of tags in the dynamically tagged info table. I've placed the div ID in the table but nothing shows up. It's in a table with two columns, inside another plugin. (Just to test, I just tried it in global headers, too, but it was just blank.)

Wearestranded.proboards.com - under the recent threads tab, under the heading, recent tags.

Here's the code for the entire tag:

I am only just now trying to add the list after using the plugin for almost a month. Several members and I have been tagging posts for a couple weeks and there's been no other index problems. Is the list going to take a while to index or should it work the same as the rest of the plugin? Yeah, for now, it's just a blank space. Tried a couple of test tags to see and nothing has showed yet.  Not sure if it's me not understanding how it works, or a glitch, or what.

ok, iv set the hit rate at 10 and the tags are showing in the list after the first hit.

im sure iv got it all set right.

I would have to recheck the rule I setup but I believe if you have less then 10 tags in the list it might show them all.

Nevermind I thought you were talking about something else. the hit minimum is for when you want certain tags to be a larger font size then others because they have a higher count. if you look at some hashcloud example on the net, you will see some words are huge compared to others - that is because they had more references. As soon as a hash is created it gets added into the cloud no matter what its count is.
