@zar Well, let me remind you that a deadlock is worse for the villagers either way than killing the detective. If Chani doesn't log on and vote for RedBassett soon, then we go no-lynch, the mafia member has another day to kill, and the villagers have no more information to work off of than they did the day before. If you switch your vote to RedBassett, you'll save the life of at least one villager if he's mafia and and you'll know exactly who to target tomorrow if it's me.

This gambit would make no sense at all if I were a mafia member unless I deployed it a couple days in, btw. The mafia can only win in this small a game by killing all but one player, which is impossible to do in two nights and one day

But if I'm not Mafia, this gives another night to kill off another villager. Are you sure you want to go against your instincts for that? Besides, rallying the villagers against someone else is also a good way for Mafia to gain an extra villager. What if I turn out to be a villager and then another one is killed tonight?

Following a day of anger over the shocking death of @dmage, the villagers (minus @kipp, who might still be asleep for all we know) banded together to burn RedBassett at the stake. The lead came from local detective Phaelyn, a detective so reclusive that, somehow, no one even knew that she was one until just then. A thorough investigation of RedBassett's home revealed several suspicious items, including a variety of AK-47s, grenade launchers, and DVDs of The Godfather hidden in his secret underground bunker. The purpose and meaning of these items remains unknown. The burning at the stake was later celebrated with a feast consisting of some burnt steaks, mostly for the sake of the pun. Rock Ridge is a weird place.
