While I like the subtly of the text and how it doesn't really compete or take from the thread content, I think an advertisement sig should have something more catchy to actually catch the eye away from the thread content for at least more than a moment. Images do that nicely. It doesn't need to be elaborate and it could actually work well with the nice message/summary of your forum.
