Plugin for Boxes when you Go to a Staff's profile

I was wondering about how the admins (like Ricky, Brian, Patrick, David, etc...) get the popup box on their message area when someone goes to PM them. I assume that it's a Plugin.

I'm attempting to create a Plugin like that, maybe it's even identical to that, now that I think about it, and I was wondering if something like that needs JavaScript and if so, what kind of JavaScript?

I'd assume that it only needs CSS and such? But it'd need JavaScript to get the ID of the person and such, right?

What I wanted to do, though, was much like what's on Support for say Patrick or what have you -- just like what they have up there, not a popup like what that Plugin has, if that makes any more sense than what I said before. (Sorry if it was cryptic).

I think the one we use here is just about ready to be released. I was supposed to add it to the library months ago but I never did because I never got around to making the images.

The difference between the one on the library and the one here is that staff can edit their own messages. It also shows the dialog box when manually adding them to a new message instead of just through the Send Message button.

I see now what you mean by that; that's a great feature! I was confused for a second until I went to go do it myself

That's how it's supposed to work. Pat wanted me to add that feature when I first created it about a year ago but I had no idea how. I eventually came back to it and figured out how to add it in.

Would the Plugin be open so we can 'build' it/see what the components are and such? I've been wondering how you make a Plugin like that to go for the messages. I'm intrigued, also, to see how it lets all admins put in their own messages
