Graphic Worm #1

So under Celeste's encouragement I decided to host a graphic worm since it's been a while since we've done one here.

What's a graphic worm? A graphic worm is a continuous, hopefully seamless, horizontal image collage. Each participant contributes a graphic that appears to continue the previous graphic. The key word is seamless, as the purpose is to create the illusion that the image is a single piece rather than multiple pieces put end-to-end.

What does a seamless transition look like? It really depends on the images involved, but these two pieces are a very good example of a seamless transition:

Notice how it's hard to tell where the edge of the first image is? That is our ultimate goal for the entire piece.

How to make a seamless transition: it really depends on the image before you and the image you want to put together. There is the flipping method in this tutorial which was really popular in the old graphic worms, which is a good start if you're not too familiar with graphics and/or a graphic worm. If you want to make it easier on the person after you, try to have the right-hand edge of your image be a solid colour so they can continue the image without flipping, like this:

What size do I make the image? 650x400 pixels, please! And save as .png (:

How long do I have? Ideally image should be done within three days from the start of your turn, but I can be somewhat flexible. If you cannot participate in your turn and/or would like to be moved to the end of the list, please let me know ASAP.

Note: your name and a link to your support profile will appear under your contribution to the graphic worm! if at all possible, please try to either leave off your watermarks or make them small enough so as not to break the illusion. (:

Here's mine, inspired by the subject's date of birth.  It is very amateurish simple, but I wanted to get this one done so I wouldn't scare myself out of contributing!

Kami, I'd like to give this a try. I've never done this before though so I'm a little intimidated.

And I understand feeling intimidated! It's perfectly OK to feel like that. Just try to remember this isn't about skill or how good it looks, this is about people interested in making graphics coming together and doing a fun project! Also, the more you participate, the better your pieces will get naturally. (:

And I'll add this to the OP but if anyone needs help when its their turn, they are more than welcome to PM me for advice!
