I think you may be better off making a request for the more social network options and the icon idea in the template request board. I'm just not good enough at coding to work out all the details. You can refer them to this thread if you like, so they know what I had you do in case it needs reversed because I'm sure my approach was far from ideal. (aka, the code in the headers and css.)

Could you maybe post your approach so I can implement it temporarily?

I'm sorry no one has the time to help you. I'm trying to find where I was working on that and the two sites I posted in this thread have since be utilized for other tests so nothing remains of what I was working on with you but I'm pretty sure I moved it to a different test site that had a clean slate (no previous template changes) but I can't find what site that might have been or what theme. I'll keep looking.

Hey, Tumbleweed, I have been pulling my hairs out the entire day today, tryna get social media links on the miniprofile to display images instead of text. After conceding it was impossible, I Googled, and came across this post!
I got it working in the main profile with little issue, but the miniprofile was harder because the JS would change the links on ALL posts on that page to the same. They have the same class, so that was most likely why. ANYway, I created dynamic classes for each occurrence of the miniprofile div by using the $[user.id] template variable, creating a class from that for a div which I wrapped around the {foreach} loop containing the social media links, then referencing that class with the JS at the top of the template.
And it worked! A bit flakey in Edge when I tested it, but that one's a new browser so I ain't too fussed right yet.
So thank you, dearly! I really could not have done this without your code for the other gentleman

I hope you get it sorted out, it looks very useful, and I'm sure a lot of people will be after it! I'm gonna be playing around a bit more with what I've done on my own forum using Tumble's code, hopefully integrating a Skype IM link, too. I'll keep you posted of my developments

I'm glad you guys made some progress on this. I never did find that site I transferred my work to but I'm 100% sure I transferred it. I suspect I created a new theme on said site for some other testing, which is why I never found it.  (I have at least a dozen test sites and each with about a dozen themes ) I was so close and yet so far from getting it to work. lol  If I had found it,  I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to stay away from trying to make it work since I had a break from it.
