My forum likes post comments i just dont think its a complete plug in without a notification. I was surprised one wasnt added to it. 

I guess if i were to give you feedback on your plug in....which is a great concept...would be to eliminate the duplicate notifications you get when someone "likes" a post. We get an alert in both the profile and interest tabs for that. And if you uncheck "likes" in your plug in's setting its stops all alerts. So by unchecking "likes" you no longer get LOL alerts or Like alerts. They are tied together for some reason. 

So basically we are using your plug in simply for LOL alerts. And dealing with the duplicate "Like" alerts. Having the post comment alerts would be great. If we cant get it to work im just going to disable post comments. It just makes no sense to have post comments if people dont get an alert. Nobody really goes back and scans their posts to see if anyone made a post comment. 

If your plug in notified "LOL"...."Post Comments" and stopped duplicate "Like" notifications it would prbably end up being my top rated plug in. Especially if you could get an alert for everything. Including "quoted" posts. Then we would have all notifications coming up under the Interests tab. And havning no need for the profile notifications. 

So now you are saying that you would like further categorization of the likes category?
It's totally possible. Which type of likes are you not receiving anymore?
I understand that it's a duplicate of the forum likes system. The idea would be that it is easier access to the "likes" section as well as access to plugins in one spot. The proboards system though has infinite storage so It is still necessary to some degree.
Version 2-3-1 now supports categories such as "Post Likes" "Post Comments" "Profile Comments" "Profile Likes" "Profile Dislikes" Etc.

Since there is a bazillion places the monetary plugin operates, adding a tracker to each one wouldn't be feasible. So sorry, that's not gonna be do-able.

I got a new link to add notification if you use Quozzo's post comments BUTTON option. (previously only worked with input field option) Not even sure when he added the option haha. What are the other issues you are having/did this fix all of your issues?

What we really want is for LOL and Comments to trigger a notification through the original/existing notification system. Without installing the notification add on. 

That add on was causing problems for my members. First a duplicate "Like" notification. And it was also causing some random glitches i cant remember.

Okay I'll have to take a look at LOL notifications on it. I think I was able to achieve something for incorporating notifications into the actual notifications tab through group points (the most complicated plugin I've made to date for sure) But what your asking would require a whole new plugin. Super User Key, Determine if hit max key data, Push/Pop to keep a history. Probably a second super user key to hold more notifications (which would be a lot of extra work). Deep parsing of user data, such as names, pictures, links, thread titles, etc. Then you would have to index the notifications page, sort it by timestamp, insert your "fake notifications" into it, (copying the original style) anticipate the load more button and re-running the program. Which would be highly intricate at best. Not to mention it would no longer work in approximately 2 years when v6 is up and running.

Are you talking about the Interests Notification plug in or the "LOL" plug in. Because i dont have the Interest plug in enabled at the moment. We are able to get LOL notifications with it just not post comments.
