Thanks for the image. It helped find it. Yes in the plugin settings it should say Welcome to our forum. Remove that to fix your problem. I could not find the css rule that is ruining your formatting that "makes it" look squished but I do see your dilemma.

i didnt see all the other settings in the plugin for all the boards and stuff, and i can put images html stuff in there aswell, didnt know that either  

we could do with a plugin that forces people like me to read more or an internal plugin in a plugin which won't let it work until we've read it all ha ha !!

I'm working on this for my forum right now. It's wicked cool. The ability to send out messages under so many different circumstances... -mindblown- This is gonna be useful. Very useful.

So far, I have one problem to report:
I have my span located in the forum wrapper layout template. The popup, for this reason, gets cut off (it's in a sidetable so it's close to the edge of the forum wrapper) and becomes entirely nonfunctional. I can't place the interests menu anywhere besides the sidebar. There's nowhere for it to go in the top or bottom of the forum and it can't go in the nav menu because it clashes with the Rank Salute button. Is there any solution at all to this problem of it getting cut in half? If you need access to my forum, I'll PM you the details, you should still have a staff account on it unless I'm mistaken

EDIT: Next problem located is that text is overlapping. There seems to be titles inside the popup, such as "notifications," and they are completely overlapping with the content of the notification so neither are readable. I've been digging in the CSS for the past half-hour and can't get any solution implemented. I'm quite uncertain what's causing it but it's present in the newly-installed, no-meddling version as well. It's probably my site doing it somewhere. >.<

NEXT EDIT: So if the notification is about tic tac toe and isn't just an announcement from the plugin console, the X is at the top right of the entire container instead of the top right of the notification. It's kinda chilling up with the title. If you click it, it still works, but it's obviously quite disconnected currently. Also present in the un-tampered-with version of the plugin, so it's probably something on my forum. Great. =/

NEXT NEXT EDIT: I'm having some trouble finding the area I can edit the notification bubble in the build plugin area. I just want to change the red to something else. Any idea which class or ID it is?

I'm going to stop messing with the plugin for now until I'm able to work with you on it

Of course I would be using set on the key, plus mobile devices work, so It would probably only catch 95% of all created threads and replies. As for me, I would like the ability to change the colors on hover on the link at the top of the page for a few themes. It doesn't seem to automatically have the same text color on hover, as the other buttons. Also, I need a way to control where the pop out shows up on a few of my themes because it goes off the edge of the left side of the page and is unreadable in those themes.

Lastly, I think it would be great if this could notify peeps when they get a response from someone using the Post Reactions plugin and similarly the Post comments plugin.

Thanks for all of the work you have done already, though. It is a very welcome addition to my forum.

Post reactions is a new plugin that has come out since this patch. I will add it as a request. I believe post comments is supported. As far as the off the edge and colors you speak is planned on a version 2.3 release. I do have the features implemented however it broke the layout of the notifications as that they don't line up anymore and are all wonky. So have no fear this will be done in version 2.3. There is no estimated date at the moment because my life is hectic.

F depends what you are trying to accomplish
Basically install it and that's it.
When a supported event happens a notification should be made
