I think an "ok button is fine" As only certain users or groups will have access to calendar events any how If you can get a bubble notification, have it direct the user to the calendar date/event (if that's possible) on the calendar itself.

Well ®i©hie & TegI was thinking of a confirmation but changing it slightly .. Rename "No" to Dismiss or Snooze which then prompts the notification to appear again say within an hour or something Dave

OK, I've gotten the bubble added, now as far as what's in the bubble i don't know about having a number, like if you have several events in 1 day, so maybe have the bubble say "New" or something as i said before i can have it go to the events link/thread but that would have to be manually entered into the plugin settings.

Ahh okies .. Was hoping that would be automated with a click of a button Could still come in handy though

Oh wait... I didn't know we were doing threads. I thought we were just creating events in the calendar itself. At least that's what I meant.

My vision for this plugin was ...
When creating a new thread or a new item in the calendar there is a button or a drop down action where you could select create calendar event.
This would then generate a pop up of some sort where you could specify which individuals or groups to notify along with the time and date.
When that time and date arrives a pop up would display on the users screen saying there is a new alert press ok to view or dismiss to remind you again in a set time wether that be 30 mins or an hour up to 6 / 12 hours.

Dave HOW does that work with what we were trying to do? Initially, the alert would would notify a specific or specific members to an event in the calendar (which had nothing to do with a thread or post) to remind us that a user's purchase item was expiring so we could remove it from their account. Or, from the forum in general. So I ask ®i©hie if he could make two plugins one doing what I'm specifying above or incorporate that to be an option as what I thought was originally the request.

Lol for PF its not ..but if needs must in the future at least the functionality to do so is there.
I also plan to use this plugin for my own forum but both sides of the requested functionality.

Oh wait... I didn't know we were doing threads. I thought we were just creating events in the calendar itself. At least that's what I meant. When you create a calendar event it's created as a thread, try it on your forum. My vision for this plugin was ... Dave that would not be possible to code, unfortunately. what i can do is make the going to the event thread an option so you don't have to use that field and simply leave it blank if that'd be satisfactory? when i'm done with the plugin i'll post it for you both to test and you can lmk if you want any changes or options added?
